Iran lost. Germany lost when Hitler died. What is happening with the Strait of Hormuz is, for now, akin to disparate German forces that continued fighting after Hitler died. How long can Iran strains to control the strait? The ceasefire is scheduled to last two weeks and the new Supreme Leader is allegedly too scared to be in public.


Iran can be a nuclear state, just not a nuclear weapons state, like how JPN and SKR are.

What's not making sense here us WHY doesn't Iran just go ahead and become a nuclear weapons state so then ALL enemies would leave it alone once and for all?

Because a country cannot simply build a nuke just because it wants to, even if it has the technological capability to do so. It needs at least the political support of one major nuke country to do so! Pakistan only got the nuke, because others supported it:

First, ceasefire was announced. Then small attacks against Iran and major attacks against Lebanon happened. Then the Europeans and Pakistan said Lebanon cannot be attacked and Iran re-closed Hormuz, and the US is now still willing to talk even though Hormuz is closed.

Sounds about right. To restart a full blown war again for the US isn't entirely possible for a whole lot of reasons. Some will try to put a brave face on it... and that it it.

This scenario has been explained at length in a discussion with @mangekyo yesterday. Not sure why it is being brought up again now.

During ceasefire negotiations, drafts are circulated among all parties. It is standard practice. Before the internet, they used to phone each other to make sure they all announced the same thing at the same time without contradictions.

The rehashing of this issue by attention seekers is designed to undermine the procedure by pretending there is a conspiracy, where there is in fact none.

Read the grammar and the syntax of the message. A native Pakistani clearly wrote it. There are constructions in there that sound like they came straight out of the mouth of Shabaz Sharif (a foreigner, even a foreigner of Pakistani origin like me, would never construct sentences like that).

IF White House was authoring these messages for SS to put out, why would one of his messages EXPLICITLY state "LEBANON" as a theatre where ceasefire was also applicable?

Folks need to rationalise a bit more here.

Pakistans statement was indeed including Lebanon. It was released and everyone was on the same page. Netanyahu is out of control and the US needs to control its dog.
