36 US Senators just voted to stop arms sales to Israel. All Democrats and the Democratic strength in the Senate is close to 50. Do the math. During the recent Gaza war, around 19 voted for similar Resolution in the US Senate. All Democrats.
Israel does not 'totally' own the US and it is time people start paying attention to the US politics and vote intelligently.
I read and hear all the math you're mathing, but the premise of your argument has 1 critical flaw - US is not a truly functional democracy, it's dictatorial democracy, and the proof of this is that us Americans never get what the majority of us demand from our govt! So these points you make to imply that us Americans have real control over our politicians, who in turn have real control over the US govt and it's actions is flawed and bogus. Our voting in federal elections only supports the corrupt American dictatorship we live in. Every US president will support Israel and enter a war or 2 during their term/s.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson: Iran will not compromise on enrichment rights

TEHRAN- Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei has emphasized that Iran will not compromise on its enrichment rights, asserting that its entitlement to nuclear energy is firmly rooted in international law and the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).

Speaking in a press conference in Tehran on Wednesday, Baqaei dismissed the unfounded Western media speculations about Iran’s enrichment program, emphasizing that Iran’s legitimate rights, as recognized under international law, are non-negotiable, IRNA news agency reported.

The spokesperson underlined that the right to peaceful enrichment is not a gift or concession from any other country that can be revoked under pressure or in times of war, adding that as long as Iran remains a member of the NPT, it must be able to benefit from its advantages.

Refuting media reports on alleged enrichment claims during the recent Iran-US negotiations in Pakistan, he noted that any agreement must first establish a comprehensive framework. Until the overall terms are agreed upon, discussions on the specifics, especially regarding critical issues like war and peace involving both Iran and the United States, are premature, he explained.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Baqaei rejected claims that Iran had ceased its support for the Lebanese resistance, stressing that Iran has always stood with that country's legitimate resistance, and that stopping the war in Lebanon was one of the main components of the ceasefire understanding in the Islamabad talks.

He added that the other side (the Zionist regime) ignored that part of the ceasefire from the beginning, but Iran has not backed down from its commitment and has pursued and continues to pursue this issue seriously in the Islamabad talks.

Baqaei noted that in any agreement, if one party violates its commitment, the other party is permitted to proportionally reduce its obligations. Propaganda about Iran’s inattention to the resistance fronts in Lebanon, despite Iran’s explicit commitment in the ceasefire understanding, is completely false, he added.

Reacting to the European proposal to form a UN-led coalition to secure the Strait of Hormuz, Baqaei emphasized that Iran, as a littoral state and with the cooperation of regional countries, is fully capable of ensuring the security of this waterway.

He added that for decades, Iran has been the guardian of security in the Strait of Hormuz, and the only problems created in the past 40 days have been caused by the imposed war of the US and the Zionist regime.

I agree that the public opinion doesn't get reflected in American policies when it comes to the Middle East because increasingly the POTUS is acting like a dictator but a critical mass against Israel is building.
I wonder what would you have said if/when there would be punitive actions against Israel, which I absolutely don't rule out in future? I am sure you were aware that during the Gaza war similar lazy statements against 'the West' always siding with Israel but now look at where Europe stands, and even the UK stands? In UK, smart voting by pro peace and Muslim voters made a 'regime change' there, which is still better than the regime before that.
Change often comes slowly. Nothing lasts forever.

This is the piece of shit we are dealing with. Cuts funding to a Catholic charity for children because of a personal dispute with the pope.

Today, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Guo Jiakun presided over a regular press conference. When asked by a reporter about U.S. President Trump's visit to China, Guo Jiakun stated that both sides are maintaining communication regarding this matter.

So, the Chinese government has not yet agreed to a visit by Trump to Beijing. This matter remains subject to change!

I don't think we should agree to Trump's visit to China before the end of the war.

If the government agrees to Trump's visit to China during the war, I can guess with my fingers that Trump will distort China's political intentions and hype up China's support for his war actions.

I read a book of his once. Don't remember which one. Felt like he was fighting a case for improving Iran-US relationship while throwing Pakistan under the bus. That was my impression of it at least.
Strange impression. He was on Hillary Clinton's staff for awhile and advocated for better US Pakistan relations, leading her to visit the country as Secretary of State. Him and Trista Parsi are the few Iranians in the west worth listening to.

I am currently reading his book "Iran's Grand Strategy".

Commander-in-Chief of the Army: We had ambushed the Americans in the south of Isfahan provinceMajor General Hatami: All intelligence elements were ready to defeat Israel and America in the south of Isfahan province. The fighters of the Islamic Republic of Iran (Army, IRGC, Police, Basij, and the people of the southern region of Isfahan province) descended upon Israel and America, and the C-130 aircraft was downed with the first shot.

If true, why did they not finish them?

Al jeezera reporting Munir now on his way straight to US after visiting Iran.

Obviously what he has discussed with Irans leadership and what he may chat to Trump about is considered do important it cannot be done by phone or by Dar but in person by Munir with both Trump and Iranians.

Something certainly up despite the messaging coming out of DC and Tehran....

Yeah a deal is probably in the making. The rhetoric is just a distraction imo.

Its feeling like we have been here twice before, trumpy will act in bad faith again and attack Iran, leave another friendly country (Pak) frustrated with not giving peace a chance.

I hope I am wrong but It feels like the military build up is for a limited ground invasion.

What trumpy dont accept or realise is the ground invasion unless he deploys over 200k troops will give the same results as his failed air campaign. Lots of death and destruction leading to same results.

I hope he realised public opinion at home and in the world is against him and tries to give concessions to get a deal done. But his too deranged and arrogant for that so im feeling pessimistic. Yahu also has some strong hold over him which is not going away anytime soon.

Pakistan is only messenger and we don t want US to move any resolution against Iran (even sign NPT) which can hurt our nuclear program in future. We have stakes too....
