Yes, the J-10A provided by China in 2015 does not have AESA, it is just a regular 4G fighter jet.
But the J-10A is already the most advanced fighter jet that China was able to export in 2015. The J-10C made its maiden flight in 2017, not 2015.
In 2015, 4.5G fighter jets equipped with AESA were not the mainstream, 4G fighter jets were the mainstream.

Moreover, China's proactive provision of J-10 to Iran is sufficient proof that China is not afraid of sanctions, which is what I want to prove.
What is preventing China from selling planes is not sanctions, but Iran's internal political forces!
