ISTANBUL Iran has set a one-month deadline for negotiations on a deal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, end a US naval blockade and permanently end the war in Iran and Lebanon, according to a report Saturday by Axios.

Tehran submitted a 14-point revised proposal Thursday for a framework agreement to Washington. Two sources briefed on the document said it lays out a strict one-month timeline to secure a deal covering maritime access, ending the US naval blockade and a lasting ceasefire on both fronts.

"If they misbehave, if they do something bad — but right now, we'll see. It's a possibility that could happen, certainly," US President Donald Trump told reporters Saturday when asked whether he could order new strikes.

The proposal envisions a second phase only after an initial deal is sealed, launching an additional month of negotiations focused on the nuclear program, according to the sources.

Although Trump said Friday he was dissatisfied with the Iranian proposal, he told reporters Saturday before leaving Palm Beach for Miami that he would review it during the flight.

"I'm looking at it. I'll let you know about it later,” he said. “They told me about the concept of the deal. They're going to give me the exact wording now," he said.

Moments later, Trump struck a far sharper tone on Truth Social, saying he "can't imagine that it would be acceptable" and insisting Iran "has not yet paid a big enough price for what they have done to Humanity, and the World, over the last 47 years."

In the same remarks to the media, Trump characterized the blockade on Iranian ports as a “very friendly” and uncontested measure, maintaining it does not contradict his claim that hostilities have been “terminated.”

Iran says Trump’s ‘pirates’ remark is ‘damning’ admission of US actions at sea

ISTANBUL - Iran said late Saturday that remarks by President Donald Trump likening US naval operations to “pirates” amount to a “damning” admission of Washington’s actions at sea.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Baqai said the US president openly described what Tehran considers unlawful seizures of Iranian vessels.

“The President of the United States has openly described the unlawful seizure of Iranian vessels as ‘piracy,’ brazenly boasting that ‘we act like pirates,’” Baqai wrote on US social media company X. “This was no verbal slip. It was a direct and damning admission of the criminal nature of their actions against international maritime navigation.”

Baqai urged the world to firmly reject what he described as attempts to normalize the conduct.

“The international community, UN Member States, and the UN Secretary-General must firmly reject any normalization of such blatant violations of international law,” he said.
The remarks came after Trump said Friday that US naval forces had seized a vessel, its cargo and oil.

“We … land on top of it and we took over the ship. We took over the cargo, took over the oil. It’s a very profitable business,” he said.

...(continue)... The ship went dark, loaded during the blockade, slipped past surveillance and was tracked near Sri Lanka before passing through Indonesia.

CENTCOM said nothing was getting through.

They were wrong.

Never stop connecting the dots.

...(continue)... as the final destination.

The tanker "HUGE" went AIS dark on March 20 en route to Iran, loaded Iranian crude during the US blockade, was sighted off Sri Lanka last week, and is now traversing Indonesia's Lombok Strait.

US simply cannot and won't win any war so far away from its mainland.
It needs to fight war on its own land. Maybe it can win? LOL

Look at the comments 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Well I am glad this prediction proved incorrect lol.
I'm certainly glad as well. Truth be told, I thought there was a good chance the ceasefire wouldn't last 2 weeks.

But of course, we're dealing with cheeseburger here who might get up on the wrong side of bed and decide to drop a couple of bombs.
