Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

I have a picture of Shia Tupac as my avatar. My user ID is to be taken just as seriously.

Glad you clarified. I thought you were a real fan of the charlatan 'professor' Jiang!
Its amazing how easy it is to fool people with some smooth talking blogs these days. So Mr. Jiang 'predicted' 'Trump to come to power, that Trump to launch a war on Iran' made him some modern Nostradamus! And now the hack is milking gullible audiences in various channels for $$$.
But he is not the only one. There are the likes of Col. Macgregor, Scott Ritter and many more. I am even losing respect for the ex CIA guy Larry Johnson who appears on Judge Napo in Hawaiian shirts smoking cigars, and other shows almost daily. It is one thing to make an occasional mistake but many of these 'analysts' have nothing new to say and just keep mouthing off the same thing and often mix BS into their narrative. They are probably paid some money like $5000 per show for their appearances.
Want to see serious analysts then see Trita Parsi, Jon Elmer, Chas Freeman, Jefferey Sachs, Glenn Diesen, Mearseihmer, Matt Hoh, Ali Valizaid (sp.?)...

The next election cycle. That is the way.

True democracies don't have to wait for election cycles. Look at Kier Starmer, he is close to having his ass on the street.

No elected democractic leader in Europe can attempt to do what Trump has done, and still be a leader. That is because European democracies on balance on quite mature(with the exception of Hungary).

Having checks and balances and safety switches are part of a democratic framework and something the USA lacks both in adherence of democratic values as well as the mechanisms for those values.

USA has its own system. European countries have theirs. Clearly, one is not the other, so I am not sure what your point is here.

This is not true

The plan is for these counties to only do something AFTER a ceasefire is reached
As of May 2026, the UK and France are leading a multinational, defensive naval mission to secure commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, not a direct invasion of Iran, following severe disruption to trade. The UK has deployed HMS Dragon, while France is positioning naval assets to protect vessels.

Keep limiting my replies because I call out your bs, very mature.
You obviously have zero military background

And no HMS dragon is parked off Cyprus!
Facts matter, once again forced to call you out 🙄

HMS Dragon is in the Red Sea

All the UK’s statements make clear this mission only begins after a ceasefire not during war

Iran war costs soar
The munitions they expended cost more than this figure, then add deployment, logistics, loss of aircraft/infra.

True cost is likely double.

The Strait is a hornets nest. Iranians can fire not only from one of the 30 missile sites along the Strait but also from deep within Iran's land--and who knows from what beneat the surface. Americans know that this is a 'war of choice' launched by Trump, the war remains deeply unpopular, and thus Americans are not willing to accept many, if any, casualties. How would the Europeans leaders sell bodybags coming back to European shores for a war which has no direct NATO involvement and a war launched by another country? Say 10 or 20 French or German dead arrive to their respective countries in bodybags?
It seems like the Europeans are trying to do the 'bare minimum' to be on Trump's good side. Many countries are pleasing Trump and hoping he would direct his wrath to someone else. There are trade/commercial reasons to not ignore America even for rich countries in Europe and Asia.

True cost is likely double.

Double or not, the $29 billion as quoted during the Senate hearing where Lindsay Graham was grilling Hegseth and Gen. Caine yesterday also mentioned the cost to repair the damaged/destroyed American bases in the Middle East is not factored in yet and it was uncertain if the local countries would share the cost in rebuilding them.

9 minor earthquakes (magnitude 2.6 to 4.6) in about 8 hours in Pardis, near Tehran.

Two major fault lines pass through Pardis in the northeast of Tehran. It seems that they're now active. A major earthquake is more likely than before.

A natural earthquake could be a opportunity to conceal the test of a nuclear weapon.
