Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

Very true. US has not gone after leadership or struck strategic targets during the ceasefire it has only "lovetapped" or returned fire on coastal Iran and PG targets.

The daylight strike that took out the top leadership was an unforeseen opportunity and they took it. US and Israel had no clue the leadership was going to be as reckless as in gathering in one spot. The strikes on Iran were 48-72 hours away before decapitation strike took place and it was going to be at night and a massive strike at that.

Orangeman knows any strike on leadership is pretty much a restart on hostilities so any strike on leadership is going to be a major strike on all of Iran. So now until 4th of July there isn't going to be any strikes on leadership or strategic targets only IADS that paint US fighters or aircraft and IRGC boats and Orangeman will say ceasefire is still on and Iran will agree.
It is equally plausible that US simply cannot accurately hit Iranian hvt's as easily as it could before. Iran may well have learned how to conduct their ops better. Remember, Iran learned from the 2025 war and did not make the same mistakes this time that they made then. I suspect they have learned once more and are applying these lessons at present.

I would furthermore argue that Iran has repeatedly outmanouevred Trump diplomatically since the "ceasefire" by focusing on TWO key issues - 1. (The one they have done quietly) hyphenating US behaviour directly with that of Israel and 2. (The more obvious one) maintaining some degree of control on Hormuz.

It is clever to declare unilaterally and publicly that Israeli violations "count" as American ones. That is actually all they say at times, so the press HAS NO CHOICE but to report it as such. Even pro-zionist channels have to report the Iranian statements. In turn, this simple statement of factual clarity causes public sentiment against Israel to rise.

Iran needs to be given credit here. They say exactly what needs to be said publicly. Privately, they know full well the ceasefire is non-existent and that the Tel Aviv cabal has its own expansionist and genocidal objectives in mind.

Last but not least, Iran are continuing to fck all Pahlavists hard, stifling Tel Aviv's objectives further.

Iran is in a precarious position but is playing its cards pretty well so far.

Elijah Magnier is my No. 1 expert on Lebanon/Syria vs Israel. Goes into details, down to local levels of Israel and Lebanon territories. Some take aways:
1) Lebanon and Iran fates are inseparable.
2) Hezbollah wouldn't terribly mind Israelis in southern Lebanon because they would be easier targets in a war of attrition.
3) The ceasefire between Iran and America hinges on Lebanon: Israelis would want a ceasefire where they would hold onto southern Lebanon and gobble it up.
4) Iran is sticking its neck out for Lebanon to even make another open war with America
5) Magnier doesn't see an open war in next one month [the football cup?]
6) Both Trump and the Iranians don't want open war.
7) Pakistani Army chief Munir trying 'last ditch' attempt to prevent an open war.
8) Netanyahu knows his 'only' and 'unique' opportunity to use America against Iran

I suspect Trump is delaying war until the US has precise intelligence on the locations of top Iranian military leaders (particularly Ali Abdollahi and Majid Mousavi) and an opportunity arises to target them.

Precisely!
Unleash with a other shock and awe decapitation strike to maximize the limited availability and resort to short spurts instead of the long haul.

He's asked for options and waiting when he's got the clear...

Geography prevents Iran from become another 'lawn' to be 'mowed' by anyone. Iran is not Syria, Lebanon, or Gaza. And should Jordan or Egypt stray they too would be 'mowed'.

Trita Parsi. I have only watched the first 13 minutes of this. Some take aways:
1) If Americans really had a military option then they would have used that by now.
2) Iranians attacking Israel because of Lebanon carries huge risks
3) Whatever pressure Trump is exercise on Israel is because of America's limited options on Iran

I find it hard to believe Trump would speak to his master like that.

Unless there is truth in Trump being blackmailed by the Epstein Files, I would totally believe Trump putting Netanyahu in hot water. BTW, I have not used 'the Epstein Coalition' like terms because I have not seen any evidence to support that Trump, personally at least, is being blackmailed by the Epstein Files. Maybe he is, may not. I just don't know either way.

But what I DO know is that Trump had already demonstrated far greater love for Israel in his first term than any other POTUS before him and thus, during the Gaza War (October 2023 onward), I had multiple times warned in this forum that Trump will turn out to be even worse than Biden was then. Me, Zeteo's Mehdi Hassan kept saying: "Things could always be worse".
We both had Trump profiled as a Narcissism and a super Zionist!

Geography plays its part but it doesn’t tell the whole story. It is the most populous state with history, civilization and barer of distinction in Shi'ism. While in Sunnis no one state steps up or takes the lead... everyone dropped the ball on Gaza let alone the rest.

orange clown plays cute... know that he's loading.

This war for the last almost two months (the ceasefire around April 7) has turned into a tug of war between Netanyahu pulling Trump's tail to get back to fighting while Trump trying to avoid that fight again. But even if Trump even has any Epstein Files on him, he could possibly call it some 'Deep Fake' and walk away from this war, make a historic and just peace in the Middle East and truly earn a Nobel Peace Price. Vast majority of Americans are against this war. Vast majority of the globe is against this war. And I believe Israelis too would embrace an alternate vision of their neighborhood against what this bastard Netanyahu has been trying to sell to the Israelis for the last 3 decades.

Well, one could only wish for some wisdom from Trump. One could only dream...
