Bases cannot be destroyed so easily, they can be 10s of sqkm in size, US airbase in Doha is 30sqkm+, they can be damaged, but can be made operational pretty quickly, but constant kinetic attacks will make them in-operable. Also, precise targeting of their sensors and radars will make them blind.
