The conspiracies around the April ceasefire match the conspiracies around the Gaza Pier of the recent Israel-Gaza war. The Pier was supposed to be a conduit to force 2 million Palestinians onto some boats for 'ethnic cleansing' of Gaza. And so are the ridiculous theories around the Ceasefire announced in early April about this war: The Americans and the Israelis doing so to regroup. No, the Americans and the Israelis were constantly well supplied and were at a safe distance from the Iranian attacks. And that the Israelis didn't want the Ceasefire. Add in the botched Isfahan Raid.

I don't recall hearing the Gaza Pier was intended for forcing the residents of Gaza onto boats for ethnic cleansing. Will have to add that to my wall of absurd statements.

Yes, many here during the recent Israel-Gaza war and even so-called mighty anti-war like George Galloway were parroting that the Gaza Pier was to ethnically cleanse Gaza of the Gazans! OMG! Basic logistics under intense Hamas fire would be enough to preclude that possibility!! Two Million Gazans evacuated through the Pier!!

Steps that should have been taken 10 years ago.

When the ceasefire was announced in the first ten days of April and shortly after that Vance went to Islamabad for the Islamabad Talks I knew then who had gained the upper hand. And one day analysts and historians would connect the ceasefire and the Islamabad Talks with the so-called 'rescue mission' which resulted in multiple American jets downed in Isfahan. I believe the mission was a turning point as it showed Iran's air defense systems to be far more capable then given credit for until then.

Iran had gained the upper hand then and you could see that in the pain of even the war mongers like John Bolton for the last several weeks. And I also think that some in the Pentagon top brass are pushing back against further escalation and there may be more Joe Kents resigning if there is another full fledged war.

I do find it amazing how the whole Isfahan raid and rescue immediately disappeared from the headlines, as if such a huge operation had never taken place! If reports were true that Op was the stuff of not one but several Hollywood action films.

As far as comparative damage is concerned, then I'd say Iran did far less damage to Israel then vice versa. But for about 40-days the residents of Tel Aviv were forced to hide in bunkers and there was much more damage to the Israeli economy, its tourism potentials, and its destination as a 'startup nation'. Global 'capital' is very 'risk averse'. On top of such factors, which many countries would face if they were in the Israeli boots, Israel has additional imperative/burden of asking people to move to Israel as part of Aaliyah but for the last 2-3 years, it has become a reverse Aaliyah.

As Chas Freeman recently said, if Israel continues on its current path then Israel is doomed. And I greatly respect Chas Freeman views.

The heenbs are all hiding in the bunkers which do not exist in Iran, not that the Iranians care about bunkers. The Iranians have long won anyway.

What matters here is that Irans proven that they can't be defeated and with the imminent closure of mandeb straits.......its really game ova for people like this converted toady guy.

The oath of US military takes is to serve and protect the constitution against enemies foreign and domestic- war power act of congress enables them to reject invalid orders - he can’t just make up a new war like that…
