Well, I’m not sure about your confidence; but I’ll say that one thing Iran has done well in this war is expand the scope of the conflict/war arena to GCC countries, the world economy (by closing the Strait of Hormuz); whereas Israel cannot escalate the same way against Iran to deliver a knockout blow, because Israel will face an existential threat if the war is prolonged and expanded (facing direct threats from multiple non-state actors at its border).
For the first time, Iran is setting the agenda/rules/conditions of the war. It is not playing the game Israel wants it to play.
