I don’t know if you remember but shortly before this war Abdolrahim Mousavi gave a big speech about how Iran’s military strategy had changed to an offensive strategy and they no longer wait and might strike first

What happened to that? Now the U.S. knows they can give Iran multiple hours warning of a strike, and Iran will still not attack first

Yes, I remember that but it was bullshit like almost every other thing that has come out of the mouths of the stupid people in this regime after the assassination of General Soleimani.

Even on paper, there is nothing that Iran can do to stop future US strikes.
We failed to establish deterrence. We failed to destroy Israeli infrastructure. We failed to kill Israeli citizens in large numbers. We failed to keep oil prices high. We failed to develop nukes. Heck, we didn't even dare to leave the NPT after all our official threats to do so. We failed to hit USN assets. We even failed to take Americans prisoner or kill hundreds of them.

We are a punching bag. We can hit Arabs now, but first of all, neither the US nor Israel cares about that. Secondly, this time shutting down the Strait of Hormuz won't have the same surprise effect anymore.

We have to change the equation somehow

- a massive saturation strike on the closest USN vessel from multiple vectors until the ship is totally destroyed

- a large scale attack concentrated against energy infrastructure in the UAE

- cutting undersea cables in the strait of Hormoz

Let’s use some creativity and stop being so predictable by repeatedly targeting mostly abandoned U.S. military bases

They will probably strike tomorrow when us stock markets shutdown and do an intense bombing campaign for a couple of days only for trump to announce on monday a deal is imminent within days on his truth social media rinse and repeat.

Neither side can do to each other the damage required to make concessions needed to get to a deal.

These strikes, if they happen, won't bring about desired strategic outcome that Trump administration are seeking.

It also sounds more like a scare tactic.

You are living in the past. Houthi’s are basically like a beefed up version of Iraqi PMU right now. Firing one or two rockets and drones every once in a while.

The Houthi’s that harassed shipping in 2023/2024 and fought the U.S. in 2025 are long gone. The Houthi’s that fought Saudi Arabia and UAE and fired hundreds of missiles at them and cms, also gone.

That won't help .. cutting undersea cables in Hormuz won't do serious damage , gulf countries have substitute in case of damaged done to these cables.

If you wanna harm it in a serious way you have to damage undersea cables in bab elmandab and red sea , those cables are responsible for about 20% of the world data transfer and 90% of the data between Europe and Asia and it will f*** the gulf countries internet for a very long time
