Iran has forced the US into a peace deal that is somewhat agreeable to entirely an improvement from previous position for Iran.

The US thought it could do as it pleases and "destroy all of Iran", "wipe out a civilisation" all the fantastical bluster and nonsense just to capitulate to Iran after finding out they are completely powerless to achieve any military superiority over Iran.

Yes this is mostly because Iran has Israel by the balls and Israel has America by the balls so it would be like if South Korea and Japan controlled US politics and economy and North Korea could simply threaten to annihilate South Korea and Japan to defeat the US. America is navigating its decline in a way that allows its elites to still maintain as much influence and wealth as possible given their decline.

It's taken massive hits and continues losing ground but it's still a juggernaut. There is a reason why Trump and the entire American elite class went to China a month ago for negotiations. Basically the 21st century's Yalta moment but only "G2".

China is helping with this US decline because a catastrophic implosion for the US is dangerous for everyone and will result in global economic Armageddon for just about everyone if it isn't a well controlled descent.

Pauses are more favourable to Iran because the cost to supply Iran with its main instruments of war are cheaper and faster to acquire and assemble than that for Israel and US.

Not to mention Israeli and American weapon supplies require rare earths from China which are more tightly restricted these days. Iran doesn't appear to have rare earth supply strains for their ballistic missiles and drones more due to scale of application and the patterns of attrition between drone vs interceptors required for each drone/missile.

Not to mention Iran is 100% focused on this fight because it is for everything while US needs to worry about conserving arms and supplies for potential fights with North Korea, Russia and/or China, while maintaining presence in multiple theatres.

Honestly, when you look at the situation from the perspective of an average Joe, the US adventure in Iran hasn't cost the Americans much. Close to $100 billion, which is not that much for the US's one trillion dollar military budget, and fewer than 15 deaths.

You are right: Money is not the major issue here. However, per my most reliable Chas Freeman, about 70% of the 17 odd US bases in the Middle East have suffered major damage. To rebuild them will take time. And the consent and help of the local govts. And still, after some months of lull in fighting, they, after having rebuilt, will be easy targets for a replenished Iran. Any sign of another impending war, Iran would know what to do then and any impending war will be heralded by another massive American armada coming to the north Arabian Sea.
As I said to you some pages ago: Once Americans withdraw after some 'Deal', they are never coming back attack Iran again--not even when Trump is the POTUS and after Trump, I see zero chance for that, Zionist lobby or not.

Geneva is Iran's choice IMO because Switzerland is an established, reliable, internationally established neutral state, especially if it agrees to mediate between 2 conflicting parties.

That and plus the central global location. Pakistanis kept Islamabad prepped for Islamabad Round 2 for a long time but that never happened and even Trump said he can't send Vance for another 18 hour trip unless there is surety of some meeting. Logistics are extremely important here especially considering Israel is hellbent to sabotage any way it can and it wouldn't surprise me much if the Israelis try to take out the delegation going to Geneva.

An authority managing the straits for pure security and transit is a must... tolled or not... the straits should be secured in case of any danger to in land states or hostile intrusion or to manage environmental concerns. There just cannot be any compromise on this or it directly infringes on Iran's national security and economic wellbeing.
