Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

We tried that in the JCPOA. We placed huge orders for both Airbus and Boeing airplanes. It didn't work.

No reason for Iran Air not to rival Emirates, Qatar AIrways or Turkish Airlines in the future. Only thing maybe holding it back is Tehran may not be a fun stopover and westerners want alcohol on flights.

Iran has the people, motivation and base to make a great airline I think.

What is new now is the stepwise enforcement and verification mechanisms that Iran must follow to avoid an economic meltdown and the resultant social upheaval.
lol. That’s the only extra gain of this war for US compared to Obama accord!!?
So Obama accord didn’t have ‘enforcement’ and ‘varification mechanisms’!!?
I truly feel for you trying so hard to find any real win for the US through this debacle.

Interesting 🤔 he appears to sign the documents which is in Farsi.
2026 , DJT capitulated and Iran controls SOH after a 103 day war

Because of Zionist lobby. Yes that's a tough one as China can produce good alternatives to almost anything Western but not passenger aircraft (yet). Still if you have the money , sooner or later a way will be found to get new Airbus / Boeing planes to Iran and the removal of sanctions will help.
Iran's fleet is too old. We need to buy new airplanes but I doubt it would happen anytime soon.

Iran Air used to be the world's leading airline in the 70s. Even in early 2000s, Iran Air was still a pretty decent air line.

Yeah, for sure Iran's economy and disaspora can fuel a decent national airline but I really think Iran Air can become more then a Persian version of Air India or PIA. Look at Turkish Airlines 20 years ago and look at them now?

Again, much will depend on funding getting good global managerial talent, developing Tehran as a stopover location and how flexible the government will be when it comes to catering for westerners lifestyles. Emirates and all the big 3 GCC did this very well as did Turkish Airlines. Tehran is also located perfectly half way between Europe and Asia, more so even then Dubai I would argue.

Just allow some time over the next 60 days to see what exact mechanisms are put in place before dismissing them so blithely. There is much more to come in this regard.

One can literally say that about anything in life.

That would be a different thread, Sir.

The next 60 days are important to agree upon the exact details that will show how the MoU just signed will actually be implemented.

Trying to decide who won or not is still quite premature. The rush to judgement is merely juvenile, given that the framework presents only the outline, and not the whole picture as of yet.

Please refer to one of my previous posts to see some examples detailing the important clarifications that are still needed.

One cannot predict the future, one can comment on the present, and in that sense, this seems like a overwhelming victory for Iran

Israel and the US, the most powerful nation on earth, decided to attack Iran and topple the government. 3 months later they are signing a document that leaves Iran strategically, economically, diplomatically and geopoltically better off.
