Yeah, would not surprise me, will go down very well in the US and Iran badly needs moderen airliners. As I mentioned, no reason Iran Air cannot take on the big 3 GCC carriers.

200 737s and 100 787s will make Trump very happy and it also provides him good ammo against the Zionists who are attacking him right now on this deal. Yes I was expecting that. It's a common tactic of the American govt and makes the transaction politically saleable as well. Reminds me of the 1990's when Pakistan paid for F16 planes which were subsequently blocked by sanctions. After some years Pakistan received soybeans and other agricultural products worth the same as what it had paid for the F16s.

It is still a better path for Iran than having the funds frozen , or worse awarded to someone else, provided the US govt actually delivers. Iran getting the actual cash back in its hands is a very remote possibility.

Even the April ceasefire was against the Israeli wishes and this is hugely against Israel. No questions about that.
As to the Epstein Files, maybe they are a factor. Maybe not. However, if they are then they are the last card for the Israelis to play to influence Trump and, given Trump's ability to get away with murder, he may call the leaked pics and videos as 'Deep Fake' and punish Israel very badly for trying to sabotage him personally.

Although the April ceasefire was against Netanyahu’s wishes, and even these talks are, I would not say that the April ceasefire and this are against Israel. Trump (or any other administration) would never do anything against Israel.

Why isn’t the April ceasefire or these current talks against Israel? Because if Israel and the US were fighting a long war against Iran, with Israel’s (and the US’s) limited number of missile defence systems (compared to Iran’s far greater number of ballistic and cruise missiles), Israel would be facing an existential threat.

These talks are just fact facing, that the victor of the war (Iran) has to be given big concessions. But that comes at the expense of IAEA inspectors on their soil that will certainly ensure their program is strictly used for civilian purposes (enrichment levels strictly capped at 3.67%, and their HEU stockpile diluted or destroyed). That will protect Israel at least from a nuclear threat that was existential for them. The other threats from Iran (ballistic missile attacks, support to non state actors) are not existential to them.

This is similar to the JCPOA, it was never against Iran, it was always in the interest of Israel that Iran was able to enrich for civilian purposes only.

If the US actively blocked all defensive or offensive weapons sales to Israel, I’d say that would be against Israel, because Israel on its own cannot sustain itself or its wars.

Not quite. Both, the Saudis and the Iranians, have had a decades long MO of attempting to spread political influence in the region under the garb of sectarian/ideological propagation and hence have stood opposed to the other. They've done it in each other's countries along with others, such as Pakistan. It's just a tool and nothing more. Otherwise, there are plenty of Sunni in Palestine and Shia in Kashmir.
