Point
4 — Immediately upon the signing of this MOU, the United States of America will begin the removal of its naval blockade and any disturbances or impediments against the Islamic Republic of Iran, and will fully end the naval blockade within 30 days. During this period, the traffic of vessels will be in proportion to the numbers of pre-war traffic being restored by the Islamic Republic of Iran. The United States of America further undertakes to remove its forces from the proximity of the Islamic Republic of Iran within 30 days after the final deal.

You gave pass to the belligerent in this case who threatened Oman and continues to use its space.

Are you trying to interpret MOU as per your understanding? Because clearly it is not mentioned anywhere in MoU that Iran can or will manage Oman side of Hormuz?

But what is clearly mentioned is

"The text specifies that Iran will allow ships to safely pass toll-free for 60 days. Afterward, Iran is required to negotiate the waterway's future with Oman and other Gulf states"

It is a clear violation of MoU where Iran is trying to assert control of Hormuz before 60 days has passed to negotiate the control with Oman.

Exactly!!! You got the point! Oman is not a party to the MoU. It is between the belligerent and fhe aggrieved party. Where the belligerent caused a material change in the operation of a waterways. Oman's part was said out loud by orange. And I simply shared a politico article, not written by me, and the actual term... which is between US and Iran...
Oman and the gulf states are tertiary to this... meaning, until this is resolved between these two.

but this situation still suits Iran, since Iran exports oil regardless of waivers. only a US naval blockade changes this situation for Iran. and if Iran agreed to allow toll-free transit of the Strait for 60 days, then it is what it is.

There months ago he was hunting christians like rabbits in southern Syria. Not to mention his past like Commander of Tahrir Al Sham. Everybody has questionable allies.... Specially right now.
