Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

Esfahan is in the centre of Iran not in the border somewhere

Dozens of people saw these planes and helicopters and even shot at them with pistols, so why can’t small manpad crews do the same?
Because those aircraft are equipped with top notch DIRCM. No MANPADS can effectively harm them (in fact IRGC recovered very complex and super expensive IR laser jammers in gimball laser emitters).
Isfahan it is just 200 km away from iraqui south borders, and you saw them flying well under the radar horizon. That helped them to sneak in, but not allowed to sneak out.
So somebody even without the proper weaponry did very well his job.

Agreed.. let's hope it's never used anywhere.

And yes Trump has a bunch of Yes Men surrounding him. And obviously I'm not privy to what they're telling him.

I doubt it's all about nuclear weapons to them as they know they'd be crossing a line they could never come back from

As it stands now the American people including myself are against this war and wanted to end immediately
To much ego at this point funny thing is a few weeks ago he was bragging to news medias how he ended the war in 3 month but in reality he has accomplished nothing seriously he got to war happy with Venezuela and with the bombing in Iran during the 12 day war he thought jeez why do people say war is hard.
Here’s the thing America will dominate the skies can bomb relentlessly with minimal fear of casualties but unless they send boots to the ground war isn’t going to be won and if that happens ask the Israelis how easily it was to fight gazans and Hezbollah and this is a country that is bombing entire villages and cities to the ground and nobody waved a white flag…let’s assume American troops will fight more honorably than Israel and not try to exterminate entire populations

Oil inventories near critical levels warns analyst

Markets are reacting to every “little skirmish” in the conflict between the US and Iran, says oil and gas specialist Cornelia Meyer.

“Within the next few months or few weeks, we need to see things getting back to normal,” Meyer told Al Jazeera, speaking from Bern, Switzerland.

Markets have not reacted more, however, because “we had people with inventories that they could draw from [even though] they’re close to tank bottom,” she said.

China – the new swing consumer – has imported so much less than it did before, Meyer added.

But markets are not predicting escalation because the US has midterms coming up, so they may not want a full-fledged war, said Meyer. Meanwhile, Iran has economic problems, so they may also not want a full-fledged war, she said.

“But what markets are not factoring in, is that we are close to tank bottom in the inventories, and what they’re also not factoring in, is this open and closed state of the Strait of Hormuz makes it very difficult for insurers to insure cargoes and ships,” said the analyst.

While many ships have left the strait, not many have entered, said Meyer.

The developed countries of the OECD will be able to manage another hit as they have still some inventories, but for developing countries, it will be “very bad”.

Control of Hormuz necessary to keep Iran’s enemies from using it ‘to make problems for Iranians’

Iran has been compelled to attack its neighbours because the US is mounting attacks from these countries, the University of Tehran’s Mohammad Eslami says.

“The Iranians are defending themselves against US attacks. Some of our neighbours have allowed US military bases on their land,” he said.

Eslami said Iran wants the Strait of Hormuz to be open but will set the conditions for how it is used. “Iran sees the waterway as an instrument to re-establish relations with its neighbours and with European and Asian countries to end the illegal sanctions regime imposed on Tehran.”

As such, he added: “Iran cannot be isolated from Hormuz, and the Iranian position in the waterway can’t be ignored. Iran will not allow any other adversary to use this strait in order to make problems for the Iranians.”

Kuwait confronting hostile aerial targets

Kuwait’s armed forces are currently “confronting hostile aerial targets within Kuwaiti airspace,” the army posted on social media.

“The General Staff of the Army notes that any explosion sounds, if heard, are the result of air defense systems intercepting hostile attacks. Everyone is requested to adhere to the security and safety instructions issued by the competent authorities.”

Well buckle up, this will continue atleast until the mid-terms, once trump becomes a lame duck well see if the Dems curtails his spending thereby stopping his foolish war or will bend the knee to Israel and go for round 3.

Dems are even bigger slaves of israel than even reps, there is no hope, america is a lost cause, its like a monkey given a loaded gun, the sooner the world puts it out of its misery the better, america is a mad dog and must be put to rest for others to live peacefully.

Hitting a large, slowish moving tanker or large cargo ship at 10 km off your coast is one thing. Hitting a warship that has cutting edge interceptors to defend itself away from your coast is another thing.

Iran can hit the former and not the later. Otherwise in a war, you never discount weapons of the enemy by assuming that oh we are letting them fire upon at us and we are not hitting it deliberately. The warship is not a large group of US civilians in a cruise ship. Those are enemy soldiers who are firing missiles at Iran. The US even kills your civilians and even children at school. You don't hit even their military equipment which is hitting you? i.e WARSHIP ? It makes ZERO logic. Point is Iran do not have a navy or airforce to acomplish this task. Hitting warships with coastal missiles alone is very difficult. Iran would hit it if it gets the means to do it.
You need a Moskva momentum.

If anybody can do it... it is Irán.

A DDG it is just 96 VLS strike cells (any of them can be packed with 4 ESSM missiles, designed specifically with the Noor family in mind), a 5 inch automatic gun and 2 CIWS or 1 CIWS with SeaRam CIWS systems.

Except CIWS systems, whatever system they use to destroy the Noor/Ghadir class it is much more expensive than the thread they´re aimed to destroy.

Even if IRGC can not hit any of those, just by consuming their munitions stocks will make unsustainable the war.

While some Shaheds 136 with antirradiation antennas can be launched aiming to hit the vessels, combined with any antiship cruise missile and ballistic missile can hit them.

Houthies nearly missed more than one time a DDG. Irán can do it. If the don´t do it is because the shores are strictly monitored, but by passing weeks this level of surveillance decrease a bit, IRGC would have their Moskva momentum.

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s cabinet on Tuesday condemned Iranian attacks on commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz and on several regional countries.

The cabinet denounced what it described as repeated Iranian attacks targeting Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, the UAE, Oman and Jordan, rejecting Tehran’s “destabilizing behavior” and alleged violations of international law, and the UN Charter.

During the session chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Jeddah, ministers were briefed on his talks with US President Donald Trump, where they reviewed bilateral cooperation and reaffirmed support for efforts to enhance regional security and stability.

The cabinet also welcomed recent Saudi-Iraqi discussions, including Baghdad’s commitment not to allow its territory or airspace to be used for actions targeting Saudi Arabia, Gulf states or countries in the region.

It further welcomed Washington’s move to begin measures to remove Syria’s designation as a state sponsor of terrorism, reiterating Saudi support for steps aimed at strengthening Syria’s security and stability.
