Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

I think USA ruling elite is wishing to drop a nuke.

But they need a excuse (sink a warship by Iran), and I think they would like to use after Russia in Ukraine. To be seen like the saviors who put order in the world.

So it's to expect more provocations in Ukraine (they are working in it, with the coalition of willing, sending NATO troops).

And after that they likely will use some warship as easy target for Iran, to be sunk and have excuse to drop atomic bomb.

Iran is very reactive to USA provocations, so it will happen likely when USA will want.

An aircraft carrier has approx 6000 personnel onboard - During the Pearl harbor attack 2,403 Americans were killed and 1,178 others were wounded. American declared open war against Japan the following day and we know how that ended.

Best not to tempt fate with silly comments about sinking aircraft carriers.

A modern aircraft carrier is considered to be basically unsinkable, there has been numerous studies of attempts to sink retired aircraft carriers with bombs, missiles and cruise missiles and those studies have shown the level of sustained attacks required to achieve that, are not achievable within the context of a carrier group.

Despite the Navy’s best efforts, after four weeks the America still floated. It wasn’t until a special demolition team went aboard to scuttle her that the ship finally slipped beneath the surface.

Iran has no ability to sink an aircraft carrier. Period. It may have the ability to degrade its operations at best if it lands something.

Why weren't the Houthis afraid of having a nuclear bomb dropped on them when they were attacking aircraft carriers in the Red Sea? They were not holding back at all to the point where some jets fell off the aircraft carrier. Was the fear of a nuclear attack more, or less real for the Houthis ?

This is a war, and casualties are part of war and I do not for one moment think there is a risk of nuclear bomb in retaliation for sinking a warship.

It is the held belief within the Iranian Forces, that if they keep American casualties low, then there is an easier exit route that the Americans can take to bring hostilities to an end without the need to "avenge" and "revenge" casualties of any scale. That is the barrier to American casualties in the Iranian.

(imho of course).

Bend over...Bend over...Bend over....ahhhh its so sweet to bend over to the yankees being the inheritors of Second hand slavist Chino-Mongol (Historically, the product of rape after subjugation) genetics.

So yeah the point is do we know how these shameless subservient slavists like this simp, came to be? The short and slanted eyes ppl from these eastern asian regions are not first hand chinese nor are they inheritors of first hand mongol DNA. Rather, these cowardly simpletons are the byproducts of when the mongols subjugated China, pillaged their homes and raped their women leading to millions of hybrid ba*tard babies being born out of subjagation and chaos. The horrors of being bent over are permanently enwritten in the DNA sequencing of these individuals nd hence this sort of abhorent behavior.
Start showing respect for fellow members and refrain from the abuse or i will ban you for good. Ridiculous posting

The Houthis of Yemen were a subplot, Iran is the original plot. That's why the US was not interested in a long term conflict with them.

Also, there is nothing in this world that cannot be sunk.

I mean, I don't think anyone can help you if you still think that Israel and Iran are in cahoots somehow. This very thread has documented various high profile attacks against Israel in the last year. You might not think that's enough by your standards (and I'm sure Iranians are deeply sorry for disappointing you so much), but to suggest that IRGC aren't doing anything against Israel is bonkers.
who said anything about israel and Iran ? IRGC is a different deal they dont care about Iran.

No target is 100% secure. There is a reason those ships are so far out.

Needless to say, Iran attacking a US aircraft carrier would result in massive outrage in the states, would actually harden domestic opinions regarding the war and galvanize support against Iran mong NATO members.

For now the support for the war back in the states is like warm at best. This would change overnight, many in the intl. Media still share news articles highlighting the plight of the Iranians, this would change overnight when caskets of American personnel are seen on screens.

Attacking a US Navy vessel in any spectacular fashion would be highly counter productive to Iran and it's interests.

Iran's only chance of winning this war is for the Americans to never land on the Iranian soil in the first place, which seems more likely every day. To stop the Americans from landing on our territory, you need to kill them and the IR seems not willing to do that.

We already have seen Iran's fast response to the US pilot incident. I'm not very optimistic.
Also, Vietnam war was fought in dense forests. More difficult for the US Air Force in 80s.

Iran, Vietnam - poor comparison because of battlefield specifics and standard of military forces.

Iran, Afghanistan - poor comparison because ending up as reviled troglodytes scuttling between caves is not what Iran or an civilised nation would consider "victory".

Says who? Iranians right now are saying the complete opposite: that it is the IRGC that are defending the country despite the best efforts of Pezeshkian's government to handicap the armed forces with useless MoUs and promises made by a gambler.

For the same reason that we have fired over 2,000 ballistic missiles and haven't killed even 20 American soldiers so far.

Because they can? And they want minimal casualties.
There were advisors in most of these places and the infrastructure iran was hitting did not house people right in there. The injuries have been massive. Do you want iran to start hitting the mess halls, and office areas of officers or hit the assets used to hit them ?

Had the Houthis hit and sunk an aircraft carrier, are you suggesting USA would not nuked the Houthis ? But, somehow if Iran could, it would nuke them ? Logically, makes no sense but I will leave this thread here.

100% , no matter how much a nation may disagree with a war, no one will stand by and watch 5,000 sailors drown and not want revenge

I am much more optimistic. Yes US entered inside Irán and operated during hours, but the landing finished in a complete failure with more than half dozen aircrafts destroyed.

Even US personnel said that every Iranian with a weapon was shooting them. And that would make things extraordinary difficult to them. This kind of numantine resistance can be mixed with all propaganda apparatus just to tell them that US is the invader, and their interest relies just in oíl that can be easily traded vía international commerce.

Irán is not Irak. There are high mountains, and a lot of short range missiles like Fath360 and drones enough for make indirect fire support literally hundreds of kilometers away. Much more than Ukraine, whose military didn't have that awesome conventional ballistic missile force.

Since when 553 injuries is a "massive" number?

Iran has hit the US bases with ballistic missiles with heavy warheads. The kinetic energy alone would suffice to cause serious injuries. Why do you think the number of injuries is still so low?

Over a thousand missiles hit the US military bases so far and only 18 people have been killed in action (5 of them were killed in a single strike by the IRIAF) and 553 have been injured. I think the reason for that is extremely clear.
