Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

Yes Iran does not want to inflict too much casualties so not to escalate things too fast.

China when it was weak and no nukes in Korean war had thousands of americans trapped. Instead of finishing them off, China let them escape via sea because killing thousands of americans in a day might have caused china to get nuked back then.

Very bad news for Kuwait, I think something like 95% of their water comes from Desalination.

If this continues there will be a rush on bottled water, if that is not already happening.

You will now have images of KAF C-130s flying in water.

This will not go down well with GCC....
Hopefully, the same is awaiting Bahrain, Qatar and eventually the Emirates.

They should remember their own proverb that people who live in glass houses should not throw stones.

Needless to say, Iran attacking a US aircraft carrier would result in massive outrage in the states, would actually harden domestic opinions regarding the war and galvanize support against Iran mong NATO members.

I have a different opinion on this.

At the same time this could create deterrence at Iran's end. Right now US is attacking Iran left, right, top, bottom and anytime it wants. There's zero deterrence right now. They are hitting it with impunity. Aircraft carrier can't be sunk anyways. Hitting it or disabling it would be beneficial for Iran as that would increase the cost of war on US as it would be taken out of the combat and US would need other carriers to deploy. Majority of crew might survive but making a hole in the aircraft deck Or burning its radars etc is the thing to do for Iran. This is weapon of war and its hitting Iran day in and day out. If Iran don't even hit it due to fear of reprecussion then we have to accept that Iran is really in sorry state?

I think only reason Iran is not hitting carrier is because Iran lacks capability to hit it. Otherwise I see no reason to show your capabilities and put pressure in anyways so US can see costs increasing, US can see potential loss of lives in continuation of war. It would give more options and more negotiation strength to Iran if Iran is able to demonstrate this capability.

Lets say a projectile hits a carrier and 30 odd military sailors are killed and carrier is disabled for operation. The narrative in US could also swung against the Trump's war. The cost of war could go very high.

Clearly Iran hit something significant. Saudi Govt Air Ambulance air lifting someone out of Kuwait City.

Yeah, because of the nature of the country (small and basically everything centred around Kuwait City and its supporting towns) finding targets will not be difficult.

Kuwait is probably the most vulnerable GCC country, very close to Iran and does not have the Persian Gulf as a barrier and time to alert of missiles.

Iran's bombing completely destroyed 3 major buildings in the UAE' Zayed Military City

I suppose I am the only voice of reason here right now...

Says who? Iranians right now are saying the complete opposite: that it is the IRGC that are defending the country despite the best efforts of Pezeshkian's government to handicap the armed forces with useless MoUs and promises made by a gambler.
Yeh Afghans also used to say that it was the Taliban who were defending them, crazy how that turned out.

Agree with all of that apart from Qatar.
Qatar is home to the largest USAF military base. Al-Udeid Air Base is the largest military base that the US has in the Middle East and North Africa. This is the base that was used to assassinate Gen. Soleimani, which started all this.

Also, this is the base that will be inevitably be used against Iran if a ground invasion is launched.
