Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

It is not even 50% of capacity prepared for Iraq in 2003 and Iran is much larger and fortified nation. Trump wants a short stint hit and run style attack then opening talks with Iran to seek pause. Capacity is not enough to escalate strikes and sustain them for weeks/months which would be needed if they sought to change dynamics of war and change result at negotiating table.

Compared to 2003 also there is constrained supply of munitions due to supplying Israel with so much to flatten Gaza that it complicated campaign against Iran, and Europe may not be willing to resupply US in war. And Arabs aren't cooperating either.

In current force posture they could only do same as they are doing on nightly basis but for some weeks and the fact that believe eventually interceptors for Navy and in region could become more depleted means they must believe Irans inventory of missiles is larger than what public is being told.

Trump is just doing attention seeking as he lacked attention and love in his childhood and wants as much back.
In 2003 there was an entire coalition, Arabs and even Iran was onboard.

In 2026 there isn't one. EU and Arabs aren't onboard. Gaza genocide + Trump tariff wars/threats against EU and Canada ruined any chance of coalition forming.

We cannot forcibly increase the capacity in the region unless Israel is willing to host much more US military assets and EU willingfully cooperates. EU will not while Trump wages tariff war and US cannot afford to let Russia make gains in Ukraine war so much of resources and capacity is dedicated to that and China.

Iranian leadership has opportunity to escalate if they make reasonable demands to bring about conclusion of conflict but they aren't because they're more concerned with domestic cookie points in region to make high stakes demands that US won't accept and could invite bad reaction on Iran if Iran chooses this path. Iran is taking safest route in war instead of taking initiative, with one big caveat, if they are secretly behind scenes building a weapon or not.

The biggest thing Iran needs is U.S. companies to invest in Iran and Chinese companies to invest in Iran. These are the only companies in the world that can get shit done and properly integrate Iran into global economy.
How exactly do you convince us companies to invest in Iran when they are almost all heavily jew influenced/controlled? China will also not invest in Iran, if anything, they are there to extract wealth from an Iranian market.
The problem is even if Trump lifts all sanctions on Iran and encourages everyone to invest in Iran, there is no guarantee anyone actually does. There is too much risk and red tape around Iran that it might take years or decades for companies to ramp up investment into the country.
It's guaranteed that no one will. Something that takes decades to occur might as well never occur.

I was curious what it is saying. It is nothing bad. This is what it is:

This image shows an unusual international election campaign billboard featuring Gadi Eisenkot, the leader of Israel's centrist Yashar party and a former IDF Chief of Staff.

Billboard Context and Location
  • Location: The billboard was placed on a highway near Larnaca and Limassol in Cyprus.
  • The Message: Written in Hebrew, the text translates to: "Israelis, enjoy! You deserve it.".
  • Campaign Purpose: The billboard explicitly targets the large numbers of Israeli tourists and expatriates vacationing or living in Cyprus. It is part of an effort by the Yashar party to encourage traveling voters to return home and vote in Israel's upcoming general elections scheduled for October 27, 2026. On the reverse side of the path leading back to Larnaca airport, a matching billboard reads: "Landed? Had fun? Now come back and win!".

Targeting expatriate voters is nothing new. For example, in the last (U.S.) election:

I agree. You can receive them in Arizona or Texas. Choose their golden paradise.

"The EU will never invest in Iran" is also too much. After the 2015 deal, European governments actively pushed trade, project financing, export credits, and investment into Iran. European companies lined up tens of billions in deals -- Airbus, Peugeot, Renault, Total, all in. What actually killed those deals was American secondary sanctions making the risk too high, which drove companies out. That shows Europe folds under US pressure, not that Europeans have some permanent aversion to doing business with Iran.
You're describing deals that in which Iran bought things from Europe, not investment in Iranian companies and development.
The Libya comparison is a fair warning about what happens when a state collapses. It's not evidence that slave markets, permanent chaos, and resource grabs are the actual goal in Iran. A government can pursue a reckless policy that leads to disaster without that disaster being the secret plan all along. If you're going to claim deliberate intent, you need more than pointing at another country where intervention went badly.
Rubio lamented the decline of the “great Western empires” in the face of “godless communist revolutions and by anti-colonial uprisings that would transform the world and drape the red hammer and sickle across vast swaths of the map in the years to come”—and made clear that the Trump administration envisions a return to “the West’s age of dominance.”
rubio will be the next president of the us, I would take him at his word.

Don't take Netanyahu at face value, lol. He is not actually seeking regime change in Iran and has larger plans like Republican leadership does and other wealthy elite.

If they did they'd heavily target Iranian government infrastructure all across Iran. The capacity in region suggests there is no plan to do so.

Iran leadership taking foot off gas is due to lack of initiative by Iranian leadership and more reactionary policies like we've seen since Oct.7 has been reaction after reaction and the strategic patience didn't change just evolved into strategic patience to preserve regime.

Doesn't mean they're not handling the war well. Just means there is missed opportunities that require some more courage which we did see in opening days of 40 day war that changed dynamics when their SL was killed.

Continued war in Gulf could push oil price to $200

Ed Hirs, a lecturer at the University of Houston, has warned that the continuation of the war is likely to lead to crude oil prices skyrocketing.

He made a distinction between the futures price of oil, which sits at $98 per barrel for Brent crude, and the spot price for oil delivered today, which is much higher.

The spot market is “where the rubber meets the road”, he told Al Jazeera.

Hirs said that global oil reserves may no longer be able to compensate for the loss of oil flows from the Gulf, and noted that releases from the US strategic petroleum reserve “have only about 40 days at the current rate”.

“If conflict continues to expand, we could very well see the futures price and the spot price meet up at approximately $200 a barrel,” he said.
