The lesson we learned from the Iraq-Iran war is that had we not had the IRIAF, we wouldn't have been able to deter the Iraqi invasion of KhuzestanWell , you probably have learned anything from the lessons of the past and the present , having f-14 or f-5 or whatever from the different types of american aircrafts won't be useful for when they control everything about the fighter jet.
take a look about the gulf countries , what did the american aircraft do for them ? f-15 , f-18 , f-16 and all new and upgraded .. nothing at all , U.S always control their equipments when sold to other countries , that's why in Egypt we began to dumb all their equipments .. iran is doing the right thing trust me.
you didn't waste your money , you created small armies around the area for your favour , like houthis , hezbala in lebanon, iraq militias etc . without them you would probably be fallen by now by the american airstrikes
Please do not compare Iran with its human resources to tiny Sheikhlets of the Persian Gulf. Countries like Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, the Emirates, they aren't even real countries. The same goes for Iraq too, to a much lesser extent.
Yes, we did. Small areas that are useless and fell one after another in 2 years. What did the Houthis of Yemen do for us in our 3 most recent wars? Nothing.
We could've spent all that money on our own army instead. A complete, total waste of time and money. We spent close to $50 billion during the Syrian Civil War to keep Assad in power. We could've purchased hundreds of Russian and Chinese jet fighters with that money.
