Trump: ‘I’d rather make a deal with Iran – I don’t want to kill people’​

US President Donald Trump says Washington is holding talks with Tehran and would prefer an agreement to further military action.

Speaking in Las Vegas, Nevada, Trump claimed the US had been preparing to launch what he described as “the biggest attack since World War II” before Iranian officials asked for negotiations.

“We were all set for the biggest attack since World War II, and they [the Iranians] called me and said, ‘Please don’t do it. Let’s talk,’” he said.

“I would rather make a deal with Iran because I don’t want to kill people,” Trump added, while reiterating that Tehran could not be allowed to obtain a nuclear weapon.

Can Trump please release the transcript or the the actual conversation he had everything is recorded in all conversations Trump has with foreign dignitaries just release it if you actually had any conversations also the conversation with the previous president of the United States who said he wished he had attacked Iran……the guy needs Vance to speak for him from now on

Iran’s foreign ministry says a deal with Oman on a route through the Strait of Hormuz is being “finalised”, but the US and Israel still pose a danger to ships in the vital waterway.

Israel’s military says it has started carrying out attacks on southern Lebanon in response to what it calls a “blatant violation of the ceasefire” by Hezbollah. One person has so far been reported killed and 11 injured in the offensive. Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank carry out large-scale raids in several areas. Soldiers have entered the Qalandiya refugee camp, storming homes and detaining Palestinians. Israeli gunfire and shelling have been reported in neighbourhoods across the Gaza Strip.

I think Iran will worry more about rebuilding their country than high end fighter jets for the time being but honestly I’m a pessimist I don’t think this fight is over I’m waiting for Israel to bomb Beirut in attempt to start this up again and we still don’t know what the exact agreement is going between Oman and Iran trump might throw another tantrum

As long as Trump is in office this immediate war will not be over, I agree. But I rather we fill the order, have our pilots trained and have things delivered after the war when Trump presidency ends to not leave us as vulnerable because the hyenas will be watching and wanting scraps. After the war we may have secondary powers try to call our bluff/test us from the way this retarded government has been handling things so we always have to be ready. I know it may sound a little far fetched but this is something we should have worked on years back with the Chinese as opposed to the two faced Russians.
