Passage of vessels belonging to the U.S., Israel and other hostile nations through the strait will be banned. Cargo related to Israel, whether military or civilian, will not be allowed to pass.”
It also states that “countries that have caused damage to Iran will not be permitted to pass until compensation is paid.
Heavy fines, including up to 20 percent of the cargo value, are expected for violators.
Not necessarily - Iran would have to be the aggressor and attack Saudi Arabia first. I don’t see Pakistan (at least) joining a conflict against Iran if the Saudis provoke Iran first (either directly or by allowing US/Israel/NATO military ops against Iran from its soil/airspace.So the logical conclusion is this is a united front against Iran.
No. Both of them were downed well inside Kuwait. You have pictures of pilots being surprised by kuwaiti civilians.not one of those which got shot down in kuwait?
The pact did not include Syria, Iraq, Iran, Lebanon, so probably it's a sectarian pact and not against Israel basically. Why Iran or iranian people are getting insecure about a pact which doesn't concern them and is b/w independent countries? Don't you people have a war to resolve with America?
It is perplexing that people here are still cheering for Houthi proxies while they are fighting an existential war with America. Imagine If Saudis start funding and cheering for Jaish ul Adl and MEK/PMOI. People shouldn't start a fire in someone else backyard if they have gasoline tanks in their own backyard ready to be lit by neighbors.
What was IRGC advisors doing in Iraq embedded with Militias/Rebel groups which are not officially recognized by Government of Iraq and I believe is banned too? Those advisors supposed to be in Iran, fighting America, not needling Saudis. They couldn't find Israeli bases in Iraq but wanna poke Saudia. I don't know what do you call this mindset!

- Arab Struggle Movement for the Liberation of Ahvaz (ASMLA): Objective legal findings directly link Saudi intelligence to this ethnic Arab separatist group. In February 2022, a Danish district court found three ASMLA members guilty of spying for Saudi intelligence and financing terrorism by funding the group's militant wing inside Iran.
- Prominent Saudi figures, such as former intelligence chief Prince Turki al-Faisal, have openly attended and spoken at the MEK annual rallies, signaling political Alignment.
- Saudi Arabia provided massive financial, economic, and logistical support to Saddam Hussein’s Iraq during the Iran-Iraq War (1980–1988)
These are just a few examples.
Did Syria, Iran, Iraq and Lebanon has officially asked to join the pact? Lets avoid rants and talk on facts and logics. The news of turkey joining the pact is circulating since last year. It didn't happen in vaccum.
One of my concerns with this pact is that these countries will go to war with Iran before they go to war with Israel. There is active military conflict going on with Saudi arabia with Yemen and to a limited extent with Iran by usa interference of attacking from within saudi airpspace.
Ukraine couldnt join nato because of ongoing conflict that automatically makes nato join war with Russia. So a country practically should not join a defense pact until there is no ongoing military conflict with another country. Another is for a defense pact it should be defensive. For example if saudi attacks yemen and yemen strikes back it doesnt work. That is why nato couldnt intervene in the usa ongoing conflict against Iran as usa was the starter of the conflict.
unless things are solved around saudi arabia the defense pact should not be complete. Otherwise it is automatically joining war against Yemen or even Iran for the other 2 countries Pakistan and Turkiye and somewhat illogical.
