If these tankers are getting hit by projectiles, despite their anti drone systems operated by Marines onboard, and still making it out to the Gulf of Oman, then maybe their hulls have been re-enforced with some sort of shields, they are rapidly repaired in transit or perhaps towed after getting hit.
