There should not be any deal, or an announcement of any deal before the election. Trump and his party need to suffer a severe electoral defeat because of this war.

Yes if there is a possibility of a deal let’s see if this guy is serious the Iranians tell him to get back to them after the elections but I doubt the Iranians are going to give him an even symbolic win by going back to the same agreement as before

Well for the most part other than a few bad flare ups nothing is different I don’t see Iran accepting another 60 day “ceasefire” that trump can unilaterally walk in and out of anytime he wants too

They agreed to de-escalate. Which is a strategic blunder by Iranian leadership. It's almost 100% guaranteed US and Israel cannot afford to attack before midterms and Brent oil prices are now skyrocketing. Pausing attacks on SOH at this stage is losing a advantage in neogiationing table.

The gain outweighs the cost. Iran can afford to absorb some sporadic strikes. It cannot afford to lose this opportunity as with more time the world is getting more creative in working around Iran to meet their energy needs.

You don’t think that was Irans work around plan they waited for the right moment when they knew the Saudis would attack Houthis sooner than later and commenced the Houthi blitz Red Sea can be shutdown by the Houthis at any given time even if it’s just for a few weeks or a couple of months imagine drones hitting the suez one day which isn’t out of there scenario I recall a drone did that not to long ago might have been a trial run(I don’t remember the full details of incident I remember a American merchant ship being hit I could be wrong)

That is half of the list, they use these groups to destroy, topple and blackmail rivals and independent Muslim governments. If all fails then direct invasion or no fly zone by Nato ie Libya and in Syria they wanted No fly zone but Russian direct involvment stopped it, look at Syria now, where are the 500k plus militants and extremists, why EU, Usa GCC hugging the terrorists. The long delayed and thoroughly deserved come uppance of the Saudis and GCC is one of the silver linings of this war

Israelis also received a pounding worse than any of their previous wars and are mentally disturbed, as their image of invincibility is shattered.
