Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

Yes, the US which sold us +100 F-4s, +100 F5-s, 80 F-14s, and more than 80 F-16s (which we would've received shortly had the revolution not happened) is bad, but Ivan that hasn't sold Iran a single jet fighter in 48 years and has armed our enemies and calls Israel an almost Russian-speaking country is good.
224 F-4D/E/ RF-4E, 169 F-5E/F, 80 F-14A and 300 F-16A/B. At least try to get your numbers right. Who cares that the U.S overthrew our democratic leader and impose and Incompetent Shah if we get to buy their toys, right?

You are exposing your own hypocrisy here. You keep changing your narrative according to your convenience. One day, you act like India's lapdog, and the next, you call Afghans your natural strategic partners, despite beating them like Dogs and Mass deportations.
Please see my reply to Master chief for your answere!

Shia Iraq closes its airports and borders to us, while Sunni Afghanistan remains open for business

Those who view the region and Iran’s foreign policy through a sectarian religious lens should recognise that shared civilisational roots are more important than religious sects

Also, if Pakistan won't allow Iranian imports into the country through overland routes, then Iran can send export those goods to Pakistan through Afghanistan, which will be a win for Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan.

If Pakistan doesn't accept imports via land routes from India, Iran or Afghanistan, then Pakistan will enter a deep economic crisis, caused by itself, because expensive foreign imports ,which it can't afford(and def not sustainably) ,like LNG from US, is it's only option.

Last time I checked, The Taliban were not in Iran. The Afghans we rightfully kicked out are not the Taliban killing your troops! :)
Read the article. You aren't "kicking Afghans out". They're emigrating to a more economically prosperous nation.

Afg-Pak border is shut for trade. We don't tolerate those heathens in the slightest.

Not sure what will be accomplished by this, except of defense industrial complex making more money, and the president himself making more money as well through stock markets
Exactly !

Also, the fact that Iran hasn't agreed to any of the recent last ditch peace proposals Qatar and Pakistan offered on US's behalf, not been intimidated by or compromised due to the US buildup for a new strike on Iran, TELLS ME that Iran has achieved some strategic leverage ,position, achievement or confidence that US and Israel are unable to undo (Pakistan, KSA, turkey meeting in Tehran this week also supports this), so unless US is able to "break"Iran somehow with this pending strike, we have to agree with @Lulldapull that US has lost the middle east hegemon position to Iran and nothing can change that except if Iran relinquishes that authority. Recent comments from Oman stating there is no security architecture in the Gulf without Iran being included also confirms that US has lost its prime position in the region go Iran, permanently.

+100 means more than 100. It's not my problem that you do not understand that 224 > 100.

As for F-16A, 80 F-16s were supposed to be delivered before 1980. Had the revolution not happened, Iran would've been in possession of 80 F-16s. That's what shortly means.

And the Shah was way more competent than the Islamic fools ruling over Iran. Iran was the world's 13th largest economy in 1979. Even the nuclear program that you guys boast about was started by the Shah and he imported laser isotope separation which was cutting edge back then and still is. Now look at where we are now. A war-torn country that Netanyahu bombs freely whenever he needs it for propaganda, with an economy that is falling behind all of our neighbors.

What a messed up dirty war this is.

Arabs and whites, like Ns, are now fighting each other, so here comes a rise in Iranian regional power and leverage (a divided enemy is a weaker enemy, no doubt). Lmaoo

FWIW, Iran did NOT receive all of the F-4s or F-14s. A full squadron of F-4s and 4 F-14s were parked at AMARG in 1986.

I would say that "even" a fair amount of the Iranians on this thread here would agree that Iran has not handled the war well, esp with regards to Israel and its failure to impose a deterrent cost on Israel.

Had the war turned out to be a big disaster for Israel and Netanyahu, then maybe the vote would have gone different for Netanyahu but Israel left rather unscathed.

Iran is here, because of the decisions Iran has made, and Iran now has to face 4 more years of Netanyahu...

Netanyahu will be offered first refusal to form a government and an extension as prime minister until that process is resolved, he could then suspend the election process to wage a war on Iran and force another new election to try and increase his vote count. Is Iran now capable of changing decision by Netanyahu into a fatal mistake for Netanyahu?

Right now, Iran's approach to Israel has made it nothing more than an electioneering "prop" for Israel and personal kick around for Netanyahu every time Netanyahu wants a distraction.
Iran has handled this war very well imo- which other nation do you know can hold off a joint onslaught from US and Israel without going nuclear ,if possible, while maintaining internal cohesion and detering US from even using it's land forces to invade after the deadly air assault launched on it/Iran?

Phase 1 for Iran was neutralizing and destroying US military infrastructure used against Iran in the Persian gulf region., hosted and facilitated by traitorous empty hateful Sunni GCC nations.

Phase 2 for Iran now involves direct military focus and attacks on Israel, now that the US's GCC proxy and military infrastructure threat has been degraded alot.

For Iran to win, Iran has to commit to a war of attrition, probably for up to 5 years, and actually prepare for it. US and Israel will be unable to fight that long and not take huge irreversible damage.

If Iran enters and accepts the required war of attrition mode, Iran must also immediately start retaliation against any neighbors who act in a hostile manner, because Islamic brotherhood and good neighborliness are dead and aren't even worth 1 % of the risk to the state's survival, which is the priority in such a war.

US will never be able to control the Persian Gulf region again - its strategy, timing ,resources and plan were too poor to achieve such a task, respectfully.

How do you think Iran can survive a siege for 5 years?
They're already shutting down Iran's land routes and air lines and have imposed a naval blockade on Iran's imports/exports. How do you think Iran can live with that for 5 years?
