I take your point that even moderate damage to Iranian infrastructure will be time consuming and difficult to repair in the presence of sanctions.

However, there is a big difference here as the entity is propped up by some hundreds of thousands of highly skilled and educated settlers, most of whom are second passport holders or have options to go abroad.

Repairing or more likely rebuilding major infrastructure takes years and those settlers are not going to be hanging around while that is done. Life would not be worth living in Palestine as these people have prosperous and safe options in the west.

I have doubts whether even the US/Europe will be able to magically conjure up to 100 billion of US dollars to repair major infrastructure damage/destruction.

West is pretty much broke now and in the UK taxes have just gone up by the highest in living memory. Germany is also in severe economic trouble as their car industry is being decimated and they scored a huge own goal over sanctions on Russia.

I never understood the self-goal the Germans did; let's not forget the fight they are in with China that will slowly eat them up. God Bless the United States of America.

Those Jewish settlers are going there because they are given free farm lands, housing and high salary jobs because of their "God given" right to Palestine. The collective West is going through economic depression, even though they don't want to admit it. Your average American sometimes has to work extra hours to live paycheck to paycheck in some states like New York and California. The situation in Europe isn't any better either. As soon as the dust of war settles, those settlers will return there again and will fund the entire reconstruction of Israel from scratch because they live in Palestine by leaching off the natives.

The Fed will print dollars to fund that reconstruction. We know that Jews control the finance and banking sectors in the West. Your average White American, Europeans and East Asians like Japan and South Korea will pay the price of the increased liquidity but they are already too brainwashed to question why they have to pay the price of the adventures of the God chosen people.

On the other hand, Iran has nobody to pay for our reconstruction. Iranians abroad are Shah-loving or left-leaning assholes. Muslim countries have chosen to be our second biggest enemy after Israel unfortunately. And the US and China view Iran only as a card to play.

When I look at Lebanon, I find it troubling and unrealistic that a significant portion of the country is dominated by a group backed by foreign interests. To me, it's similar to the Taliban taking control of half of another nation and exerting dominance over it.

To be fair, this is the Israeli narrative that Hezbollah is an Iranian proxy. It is repeated so often that almost everybody, including me, says it, but the fact remains that they are Arabs fighting for fellow Arabs. Did you know that Palestinians and Lebanese Arabs have more genetic linkage to ancient inhabitants of Palestine than do Israelis?

Hezbollah will take help from anybody.
Iran helps them.
Turkey does not.
Most other Arab and Muslim countries do not.

I am not sure whether China will just sit back and accept Iran falling and either being cowed or worse becoming another Zio-US puppet state like some Arab countries.

China likes to of course not get involved but when their core interests are at stake then they will do something. Facing off alone against US and its allies would not be a good situation for them. Iran is a good waste of US resources and energy for them, just like Russia is over Ukraine.

Anyway let us see what happens. I am sure that Iran will retaliate and hit their military sites and some manufacturing sites this time.

China will not sit back during the war but it's not going to fund our reconstruction either. The hesitance of the Islamic Republic to fully destroy Israeli civilian and military infrastructure is about the reconstruction of our own damaged infrastructure after the war, not the war itself.

If anything, as soon as the war is over, China will start to compete with our local companies to win the projects for the reconstruction of our infrastructure and cities and then delay it as much as possible to milk us more with the leverage it has in the UN Security Council.

People forgot that it's the same Hamas which went anti Iran in Syria, they supported rebels against Bashar Al assad who is anti Israel and pro resistance, but recently they amended their relations with Iran (not sure about Syria). It's the western media and propagandist who are making it out Hamas takes order from the Iran and Iran gives weapons. It's all lies. Today Gaza is surrounded by Israel, all tunnels leading to Egypt destroyed, border crossing taken control off. Hamas will never be the same again unless Israel withdraws fully. It was two weeks ago that, I was discussing with another member of Turkey's role in Syria and how it played a spoiler in confronting Iranian influence. The Turks ended up doing more harm to themselves than helping their situation, as the Kurds had more territory to roam and carry out activities along the Turkish border. But in turn, it weakened the front against the Israelis, and the regional countries did more harm to their long-term interests than Israel could do alone.

The Israelis went laughing to the bank, thinking we have legitimate morons in the region as neighbors. There is a common saying about Sikhs not having brains; it can be applied to the neighboring countries.

Worse yet, they could've enjoyed influence along with Iran and possibly have some say so within the Iranian power corridors.
