I doubt Assad would ever launch a missile against Israel because that would be a declaration of war to Israel on behalf of Syria.

Syria has been bombed by Israel plenty of times, Syrian territory is also occupied by Israel so it's still in a war with Israel. The reason Syria is quiet is because their country is under civil war, 30% of its territory is under occupation, and on top Russia is involvement and Assad government will not attack Israel due to all this. If Syria wants to show its power, it needs to first gain back its loss territory, make its defence strong and then respond.

It was two weeks ago that, I was discussing with another member of Turkey's role in Syria and how it played a spoiler in confronting Iranian influence. The Turks ended up doing more harm to themselves than helping their situation, as the Kurds had more territory to roam and carry out activities along the Turkish border. But in turn, it weakened the front against the Israelis, and the regional countries did more harm to their long-term interests than Israel could do alone.

The Israelis went laughing to the bank, thinking we have legitimate morons in the region as neighbors. There is a common saying about Sikhs not having brains; it can be applied to the neighboring countries.

I agree. Turkey and Syria had good relations before the Syrian civil war but Turkey had to get their Muslim Brotherhoods in power. A big mistake. The Kurdish rebels are a threat to Syria Iran Iraq and Turkey, Erdogan should have opposed the civil war, gotten close to Syrian government and Iran, in return Turkey would have faced no threat from Syria and these 3 nations could make alliance against separatists. Iraq is under usa influence so Kurds are powerful, if Syria fell, Usa/Nato would have made kurds really strong and Turkey would face another threat. Turkey has been checkmated.

He willingly went along with the western conspiracy and was promised a new enlarged Türkiye western Asian empire to rule. The West believed they could manage Iran and the resistance. The west will never allow an enlarged Turkish empire. Erdogan teamed up with Muslim Brotherhood/Qatar to fight for regime changes. He destroyed relations with Egypt due to MB removal.
