A weapon like a nuclear bomb that kills humans, men, women, children so indiscriminately is possibly haram, so the fatwa itself seems logical

However Iran seems to have pushed gradually towards a nuclear weapons program REGARDLESS

What held it back wasn't the fatwa, it was the threat of U.S attack backed by a coalition

In 2003, the U.S was entrenched in iraq and it has already been in Afghanistan since 2001

Iran was surrounded, it takes time to develop a nuclear warhead and time to make a workable bomb/warhead that can be placed on a missile

The U.S was thrown out of Afghanistan only 4 years ago
And half left Iraq about 10

Iran did it's best, as a isolated and sanctioned state to create a weapons industry whilst trying to not be attacked by a coalition of states




It didn't help that the county was full of shah supporting murtad scum, who are attacking their own country to make it a lackey for the west

With all due respect, I don't understand the Supreme Leader's logic. Why did he initially restrict Iran from having nuclear weapons (and seemingly fail to grasp the deterrence they provide)? And if he still believes Iran shouldn't have them, then why is he fighting a war that will ultimately lead to Iran being controlled by rulers no different from those in Jordan or the UAE? Iran should either pursue nuclear weapons or surrender its uranium enrichment program. Why play a losing game?

I got an answer to my question from Sen Murphy......He said Trump doesn't not have the authority to get in this war.......so Israel can troll us all they want. They can only hope for the MOAB....and support. No US involvement, not unless Iran does something to make it easy for Trump to get in.

The biggest problem at the moment is if U.S threats to get involved, Iran is forced into a preparation phase to take on whatever the U.S throws at it

This inevitably means the plan they initially had to bomb Israel repeatedly over the next few weeks and gradually tear down the Israeli state is more in limbo


In private communique to Iran, the U.S has stated that Israel cannot be hit to hard and if it is the U.S will step in, we can all decide if the threat is real or not
