US has been unusually kind on Pakistan for last few months, I wonder what was that investment of goodwill for? But about the Iran action, Pakistan will obv say no, but thats not what US is used to hear. So in the end I see 2 possibilities.

1. Pakistan says clear no and US starts using India again to press us.
2. Pakistan obliges to help US but only overtly and in media keep giving fake narrative of supporting Iran. And if you see for the last week, Pakistan has been unusually pro-Iran, yes Pakistan-Iran are good friends but still there are some gaps, and definitely their is a very tiny minority in Pakistan who are happy Israel is striking Iranians.

The Israelis are still intercepting 80-90% of all salvoes. They won’t be able to intercept every missile, but the leakers are within acceptable risk to them.

In other words, the Israelis expected worse in their pre war assessments.

Asim Munir should convince trump to not engage in war.
Asim munir should ask Trump to put pressure on Netanyahu to back off and offer something super nice on plate which he cant rufuse.

Unless China or Russia are able to include Iran under their nuclear umbrella, I don't see where it makes sense for Iran to give up their nuclear program. Otherwise they will be subject to nuclear blackmail again.

Chinese sailors in Iran and Air Force units flying cover over Iran in a strong posture would really send just the right amount of signal.

This is like the Cuban missile crisis. The US didn’t want to kill Soviet advisors, so it never risked going nuclear.

Chinese presence would change the psychological message for the US. To stopped and restrain the Israelis. China as a major nuclear power itself, but one that doesn’t posture with its nukes, would have Trump off balance, not knowing what China is thinking, how far it would go. Just lien Khrushchev did to Kennedy.
