Taliban did defeat the US, the whole globe saw the US fleeing Kabul. It was similar to visual from 50 years ago when North Vietnam defeated the US and we saw identical visuals from Saigon of the US and its clients running away. I would argue Taliban copied the Viet Cong tactics. But we are going off topic.

I'm not sure the U.S. will fully join the fight unless it's directly attacked. But if Israel continues to be targeted, I believe the next step will be strikes on national infrastructure that would be extremely painful for Iran.

U.S doesn't even want to join the fight, it's not in its interests

Israels behaviour and actions have destroyed international rule based order which the U.S and west built up in the west favour and interests

With that gone, the world is turning multi polar and with Israel and American behaviour being so unhinged other countries will plan and respond
