The US attacked Iran's nuclear facilities about a week ago.
If Iran doesn't test a nuclear device by the end of August or at most early September, then we can rest assured that something is terribly wrong and we were never a nuclear-threshold country, or we are fully compromised.

It will first have to withdraw from the NPT with three months notice, lest it wants to legitimize another round of US strikes. So, let's say, if Iran notifies today, its NPT membership will end on 28th September. If Iran has prepared secret nuclear test site(s) that the world doesn't know of then it can relatively easily conduct nuclear tests anytime in October or November. If it has yet to prepare any test site(s) it should be ready for the attacks as soon as its activities are discovered.

Do you have an alternative explanation for why Iran has been unable to build the bomb after 35 years? Iran started working on the bomb in 1988 after it felt that Saddam's extensive WMD ambitions were an existential threat to our country.

There's ample evidence that Iran was ready to conduct a nuclear test in 2001. We didn't have the fissile material, but we had the engineering part ready. We are in 2025 now. We have had enough uranium for going nuclear a couple of times in these 20 years, most notably in 2011-2015 (before the JCPOA) and in the last 18 months. What is stopping Iran, if not internal treason?

Does Russia allow IAEA inspections of its nuclear facilities? ( i guess not ! ). The best thing Iran can do, it has done is ask the IAEA to leave. It helped manufacture "consent" for the attack on Iran through its recent "findings" which by every measure look to be politicised..
