History is repeating itself. Every Persian empire fell the same way: internal corruption, division, weak leadership that left us open to foreign conquest. Achaemenids, Parthians, Sassanids, Safavids, Pahlavi, they all collapsed from within before the enemy finished them. The IRI is heading the same way. We keep making the same damn mistake over and over.

This any miscalculation or regional war will end Iran here and now especially one against Azeris and Turks and their allies could be Iran´s last war.

Israel was no existential threat whatsoever outside of strikes here and there they had no manpower this could also open the way for the US and other elements to enter as well.

It’s almost funny how the IRI is copying the Sassanid Empire’s collapse. The Sassanids overthrew the Parthians, who were militarily stronger. Then they ruined themselves in 400 years of brutal war with Byzantium, bankrupting the state and exhausting the people. Chaos and division followed. They lost their proxies and fell to an easy invasion from a far weaker enemy. I call it "The Curse of Thermopylae" where Persian leaders are in general mostly incompetent except for rare competent leaders such as Cyrus and Nader Shah.

The Persians always had one issue, they were not great warriors but they were good adminstrators.

i don’t agree with the first part, but the latter is fascinating because we always destroyed the stronger enemies but fell to a far inferior enemy

What do you mean we never defeated the Roman’s? We took their emperor as prisoner of war. Kicked the Byzantine’s asses for hundreds of years.
