Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

After signing JCPOA crap, it was all started. Thankfully, the leadership of Iran is man of dark hours and hard times. So, no worries. Iranians are people of hard times.
In 15-20 years we will learn that khamenei is actually a jew spy like eli cohen. Otherwise, it means we have the worst, most incompetent leader in modern human history except for maybe Pol Pot, whose only plan for resistance against the west was no nukes, no missiles, no proxies, no military, no negotiations, and no war!
You think the jews managed to kill so many officials in the opening hours of the war and just didn't target him until "he was in his bunker"?

Suddenly we see people acting shocked and disgusted at the behavior of the ayatollahs. But for those of us who have followed Iranian affairs for decades none of this comes as a surprise. We saw it coming many, many years ago. We already knew how incompetent and corrupt the ruling system was. We were fully aware that the people in power held their positions through nepotism, not talent or merit.

We knew that in the system of the ayatollahs, the only way to climb higher was if you licked enough boots, were ready to lie, and had the ability to kill and then still sleep soundly at night. And above all you had to be ready to betray Iran and its people the moment you were asked to do so.

A system whose supposed responsibility is to represent the majority of the people is instead busy chasing jinns preparing for the reappearance of hidden imams and parading as the self claimed flag bearer of the ''oppressed''.

This is not governance but it is the institutionalization of superstition and the deliberate replacement of reason with mythology.

They do not represent modern Iran they represent a deliberate regression, a clear and conscious effort to drag society back centuries while disguising it as ''fighting injustice globally''.

But of course not everything is black and white. Iranian society itself with a full stomach and blinded by illusions decided in 1978 that it was ready to sacrifice the nation for spiritualism and empty slogans.

In the course of world history a period of 50 or 100 years is nothing, it is just a drop in the bucket. Iran under the IR will eventually be remembered not as a triumph but as a sad story.

It will stand as proof that a nation can destroy itself not because it lacked resources or talent but because it surrendered its future to ideology and fear.

❗🇮🇷/🇪🇺/🇺🇳 BREAKING: The E3 will initiate the process of activating the 'snapback' mechanism of the JCPOA to reimpose UN sanctions on Iran tomorrow - Reuters

And I.R. is still negotiating.

It's time for new fucking management

But mark my words: Russia and China will curse the day they let Iran fall. Because the Western war machine will only have 2 countries left from total global domination. (North Korea might as well be on a different planet).
If China and/or Russia allow Iran to fall, then they deserve to be defeated by the Western alliance. This is a geopolitical mistake equivalent to the US invasion of Iraq, a true global geopolitical disaster.

Their only hope is to hope that regime change in Tehran won't guarantee a government friendly to the US or Israel, but that's unlikely, as was the case with Syria.

Nobody worthwhile is rallying to take over. Somebody needs to get rid of these mullahs.

Get rid of the senior generals too. They are useless.

Somebody in middle leadership needs to step up.

We are watching Iran's downfall and there are still zealots saying "I have faith in Khamenei"

Best option would be military coup like Free Officers Movement in Egypt did. Top levels of military are just as decadent and corrupt as the civilian leadership. This is extremely unlikely to happen though.

It is absolutely necessary.

Execute them all. Imprison their families. It is time to make an example of them.

The nations best scientists, engineers, soldiers, all working and fighting valiantly. They gave them the tools they needed, and their leaders totally shit the bed.

The only person worthwhile was Solemani. He was the 2nd most popular figure in Iran.

Instead he kept wanting to be on the battlefront rather than serve his nation from behind a desk. While noble in some regards, his death in 2020 only further accelerated Iran’s demise.

The IRGC without Solemani grew grossly incompetent and no one could fill his shoes properly. Not Nasrallah nor Qaani.

I can guarantee you 100% that if the regime falls in Iran, the most pro-Israel, pro-US country in Asia will be born. :) But Russia and China don't care apparently.

China is less guilty in this though. They're just indifferent. To be fair, they have made it clear time and times again that they prefer that Iran finds a way to resolve its issues with the US diplomatically. They don't interfere in Iran as much as the Russians do.

It is true that Russia has been consistently dragging its feet to assist Iran when it comes to Israel. They dragged their feet over S300 missiles for over a decade and only delivered it after Iran sued them in ICJ courts. The SU-35 deal also did not materialize. So it is obvious Russia was not genuine in its relationship with Iran while Iran provided them with Shaheed drones and the technology to manufacture them. Let us not forget the powerful Zionist Jewish lobby in Russia, and this could be the main reason why Russia plays double game in its relationship with Iran.

Besides, the guy that made the below allegation is a parliamentarian. So it is within his right to raise the issue within the Iranian parliament. He is most likely pressuring the Executive branch of the govt to explain why they see Russia as an ally when it backstabs them repeatedly.

You missed the buried lead. The more you search, the more you realize that nepotism is just the icing on the cake. This is an establishment that had Hassan Rohani, a cleric in charge of Air Defense. Let's talk facts. Putin said that Iran does not have and did not want a security pact with Russia. Since 1990, the only countries that have given Iran access to modern platforms are? Russia and, to some extent, China. Do you know how many Iranians study at Russian Universities? Almost ten thousand. Iranians are barred from most critical studies abroad in Western Europe and the US. Russia built the Nuclear reactor in Busher and is currently building at least two other reactors. Most of Iran's AD is based on Russian AD. The future is with China. If the only cha/nce Iran has to get access to modern fighters, AWACS, and AD is through China. This regime is too corrupt to act in the National interest. Two months after the war, and it seems 2024/2025. Iranian students are banned because they have not learnt anything. Let's hope that behind the scenes, they are making the right decisions.

@Persian Gulf

the problem is that the SNSC has approved this, so they should be braver and aim their anger at SNSC rather than Araghchi who is just a diplomat pursuing the objectives he is told to pursue by the SNSC

there are some nuances with the UNSC snapback timing

triggering the snapback means notifying the Joint Commission (JCPOA member states) that it believes Iran is in material non-compliance with its obligation. this alone does not automatically result in UNSC resolutions/sanctions being reimposed.

the next important step is for the invoking state(s) to notify the UNSC that it believes Iran is in material non-compliance with its obligations. theoretically, it can do this immediately after triggering snapback. this will trigger a 30 day period for the UNSC to pass a resolution to continue sanctions relief (this can be vetoed / blocked by the US).

if such a resolution is not passed within 30 days, all nuclear UNSC resolutions/sanctions against Iran 'snap back' into force. a strict reading of the text suggests that once referred to the UNSC, not even the invoking state can withdraw it (at this point Iran is doomed as the US will simply block any attempted resolution to continue sanctions relief).

however, the JCPOA also provides for mechanisms to resolve the triggering state's concerns with Iran's compliance, which could last up to 50 days. importantly, the complaining state is not required to pursue these mechanisms.

this means the Europeans can trigger snapback (notify the Joint Commission it thinks Iran is in material non compliance) without starting the 30 day clock, giving room to negotiations with Iran to reach a deal before it reaches that stage. however, the Europeans would have flexibility on whether and for how long to try to resolve these concerns with Iran. overall, this places Iran in a very unfortunate situation.

at this point, the best case scenario for Iran is that Russia and China may refuse to recognise the legitimacy of the snap back and de facto continue to trade with Iran. however, past experience teaches us that UNSC sanctions are a serious barrier to trade with Russia and China, and at best they remain a strong justification for those countries to refuse to do business with Iran.
