Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

The day to exit the NPT with full justification was the night Israel bombed Iran’s nuclear program. And the second righteous time when the first was missed, was when the U.S. bombed Fordow.

But 2 months later? It makes Iran look like the aggressor and also painfully inept at playing the geopolitical chess match.

The situation is extremely unpredictable. No one really knows what Trump or Netanyahu will do next. I put the chance of a new war at 50%.

But one thing is certain: the next three years will be the most decisive period in modern Iranian history.

IR leaders still care about being measured and reasonable, they think the rest of the world will appreciate their prudence somehow

took them one year to even start to respond to the US quitting the JCPOA

If SnapBack goes into place:

Then the resolutions that covered these topics go back into effect:

  • An arms embargo
  • A ban on uranium enrichment and reprocessing
  • A ban on launches and other activities with ballistic missiles capable of delivering nuclear weapons, as well as ballistic missile technology transfer and technical assistance
  • A targeted global asset freeze and travel ban on Iranian individuals and entities
  • Authorization for countries to inspect Iran Air Cargo and Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines cargoes for banned goods
These are already de-facto in affect because of US sanctions. I am only concerned about the last one. Will countries be able to seize iranian ships randomly in international waters and inspect them?

the words 'snapback' are not written in the JCPOA

see here: https://docs.un.org/en/S/RES/2231(2015)
I already said this months ago and I also said that the supposed "SNAPBACK" legally (under international law) cannot be triggered by those who violate it.

NOTE: If Iran really leaves the NPT, it can already be considered that the country has an atomic bomb and perhaps an H-bomb.

Negotiations are useless with these people. Diplomacy is a deceiving facade. Their objective is not just limited to the destruction of the Iranian nuclear program. They actually aim to destroy the Iranian statehood. Let's hope that the Iranian leadership takes the right steps to prevent this from happening.

Iran Update, August 28, 2025

Aug 28, 2025 - ISW Press
Iran has demolished buildings at the Mojdeh site (Lavisan-2) at Shahid Rajaei University in Lavisan, Tehran Province, which Israel damaged during the 12-day Israel-Iran War. The Institute for Science and International Security assessed on August 27 that Iran is likely trying to conceal undeclared nuclear weapons research and development activities at this site.[9] Israel damaged at least four buildings at the Mojdeh site between June 14 and 20 during the war.[10] Satellite imagery from August 20 shows that Iran has demolished two of the damaged buildings, including a building affiliated with the Iranian Organization of Defensive Innovation and Research‘s (SPND) Shahid Karimi Group that is involved in explosives research.[11] The Mojdeh site previously housed the SPND headquarters, which played a leading role in the Iranian nuclear weapons research program before 2003.[12] Shahid Rajaei University is affiliated with Iran’s nuclear program, and some US officials believe that the university has been involved in nuclear warhead design research.[13]

The IAEA reported on August 27 that there is no evidence Iran has moved its stockpile of highly-enriched uranium (HEU) stored underground at the Esfahan Nuclear Technology Center (ENTC) since the US strikes on June 21, using satellite imagery.[14] IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi stated on August 27 that “there is nothing to contradict the notion that the material is where it [previously] was.“[15] Grossi confirmed on June 23 that US and Israeli airstrikes damaged tunnel entrances used for storing enriched material at the ENTC. The Institute for Science and International Security similarly reported, citing satellite imagery, that Iran ”backfilled” these entrances ahead of US strikes likely to try to contain an explosion or prevent the dispersion of hazardous material.[16] Iran cannot currently access the ENTC and, therefore, likely cannot conduct a conclusive damage assessment or extract materials. Senior Israeli intelligence officials said that any Iranian attempts to recover the material would "almost certainly" be detected.[17] The US strikes also destroyed components of Iran’s nuclear program that would be necessary for further enrichment and weaponization to create a deliverable nuclear weapon.[18]

We need a ground invasion into Israel to reduce its territory. Trying to absorb US/Israeli strikes and at best trade some blows is futile.

All this US-Israeli bravado ends when Middle Easterner soldiers invade Israel and reduce its territory. Best case scenario whole the entire Jewish people there hostage until US and Israel withdrew from Middle East.

You have to scare them. Right now they aren't afraid of you.

Believe it or not the safest place to be in the Middle East is Israel.

So go invade it warriors and take everyone there hostage. The whole population.

Then leverage sparing them in exchange for dismantling Israel and removing US bases from Middle East.

Anyone thinking they can beat them with ballistic missiles or downgraded fighter jets is out of his mind. The US and NATO provide them best technology and endless supply which no one dares to disrupt. They will beat you at their game.

Invade the place it's small once a few gaps are made into the border send everybody into there hold the entire population hostage. Don't let them leave. Hold them to the very end and maybe even distribute them across several nations in the region.

US/NATO would have to deploy troops at that point in Israel , Turkey, Egypt to salvage the terrorist government of Israel and it wouldn't be worth it. If they did, it would be a strategic fatal error. US would have to choose between Taiwan + Ukraine or the terrorist government of Israel.

China and Russia would make a move if US was stupid enough to deploy 300K troops in the region.

The situation is extremely unpredictable. No one really knows what Trump or Netanyahu will do next. I put the chance of a new war at 50%.

But one thing is certain: the next three years will be the most decisive period in modern Iranian history.

New war for what? What is there to bomb?

The Natanz mountain complex and Isfahan mountain complex were never finished due to JCPOA. So to bring them online will likely take 1-2 more years and hard to work on construction if the enemy can bomb tunnels to halt work (even if they cannot penetrate these deeper mountain nuclear sites).

The problem with Iran was they only made One Fordow. I said it back then there should have been 2 or 3 or even 4 Fordow each progressively deeper than the other. By only having 1 Fordow you made the enemy think they had a chance at permanently disabling your enrichment program. But 4 Fordow would tell the Pentagon and Mossad the risk of success would be astronomical low. But everyone here foolishly thought Fordow was impenetrable even the famed Patarames.

Instead Iran sent hundreds of millions to Hamas, Houthis, and HZ that got blown up by Israeli and US aircraft. It sent billions to Syria that only got blown up or attacked.

That money should have been sent to build larger missiles that could be fired from the east and build more hardened nuclear shelters.

In the end we realize there was no secret Iranian planning, no wonder weapons, no capabilities that would “shock” the enemy, and Solemani’s claim that we are “closer” to you than you can imagine was either a lie or a lost capability.

We got bamboozled by this Baghdad Bob IRGC. They didn’t protect the nation when it mattered most and were more infiltrated than even Assad’s SAA and even their own Artesh.

Did Iran even acquire anything after the arms embargo was lifted? I have yet to see a single SU 35, and no credible news of any other acquisitions.

New war for what? What is there to bomb?
To bring the country into complete chaos and prepare it for implosion.
I still believe their ultimate goal is the complete destruction of Iran as we know it.

Hmm...looks like war is coming regardless of what Iran does....the only saving grace is to prepare for it.....all hands on deck! They need to make sure this will become a very costly adventure for Trump and the Israelis.
The Colonel says Israel is gearing up, and the US has withdrawn from 2 of its some what exposed bases.....and the Russians are in Iran working to restore Iran's air defenses.....take it for what it's worth, there is no way to corroborate most of it.
