Iran has intensified negotiations with China on the purchase of Chengdu J-10C light multipurpose fighters to replace the Russian Su-35.

This was to be expected as soon as the sanctions were relieved or this purchase permitted.

China did a $400 billion dollar investment agreement with Iran that was frozen for a few years. It will now go active as we know Trump will soften or lift sanctions. In that contract, Iran would buy Chinese weapons also and China will invest in Iran's vast oil (SHALE oil) resources for its market. So good business for both sides coming.

I think it's a good choice. Iran is not a big country. They don't need one that has a lot of range. J-10C is sufficient.

An aircraft is just one part of the many parts which make up the modern concept of air warfare. You need a complete integrated air defence system coupled with advanced EW capabilities to support the aircraft in air. It will take Iran more than a decade, provided that they actually induct the aircraft in next couple of years in addition to enhancing their AD capabilities, to truly be able to shoot anything of real value of Israelis.

Im afraid, the Chinese won’t even be willing to sell the aircraft as of now, given the miserable state of Iran's airforce.

The Chinese government should demand that Iran buy the entire combat system, not just the fighter jets.

Israel has the complete American combat system, and if Iran only has fighters, it will be very difficult for the J10C to win, which will ultimately hurt the reputation of China's military industry.

Also, without proper AD radars, any planes would be sitting ducks on the ground.

Russia is locked in a war and as a result there are supply issues.

Russia is also Zionist controlled.

Putin criticizes Israel sometimes but always reiterates that Russia committed to Israel's safety.

Iran trusting Russia to help against Israel is the same stupidity that Arabs have to trust the US to control Israel.

If anything, Pakistan and China need to make sure Iran is cleansed of all moles before even selling them a single piece of equipment. I want Iran to be strong to stand up to the baby-killers but if they can't solve the counter-intel part, then its a sinking ship. I'm sure our Persian guests will agree.
