Why would the IRIAF operate YAK-130 CAP missions with two pilots? What is the second pilot for, moral support?

It is the same than IRIN.
IRIAF should never take trainer jets during a real war. Maybe they wanted to chase UAVs, but being high end aircrafts in the air, it is suicidal.

Probably some are, but also remember that if they turn on their radars they will be locate and destroyed inmediately by SEAD F16/F18.

There are so many fakes out there. I would take everything they say with a grain of salt. Five days into the war and DT has already requested $50 billion. If everything was going so well, they wouldn’t have such heavy censorship.

I thought fighter jets were immune to manpads because of the height they operate at. Manpads are good for helicopters and low flying drones or planes.

You can hit fighter jets with manpads if they are low to medium altitude. The issue with manpads is the fighter jet has a lot of options to escape and the manpad doesn’t have as much kinetic energy and fuel to expend as a full AD missile.
