True. But Russians have also abstained from a UNSC resolutions against Houthis.

Even allies don't have to agree on everything, and Iran and Russia are barely allies (until recent years, at least).

abstain means say we agree but you guys have a way to say we are not in favor
Russia have veto power, they could put condition for not vetoing it

ultimately, abstain is not a vote for the resolution. so Russia's position on Ansarallah is a bit more nuanced.

well at least on that we agree its years that i say Iranian air defense and radars have nothing to do with Russian one . there is nothing in common between them.

People in general thinks everything Iranian is derived from Russian systems and for 10% of that i can blame Iran and some of its outlets comparing everything with Russian counterparts such as "Bavar the Iranian S-300" or "3rd Khordad the Iranian better BUK" while have strictly nothing in common whether radar or the system itself and its missiles, add to this ignorance from the masses and everything Iran makes is either a Chinese/Russian copy that they bought because Iranians do not have brains.

For instance Shahid Soleimani was unveiled and put on Reddit warships, comments were "Did they bought it from China or Russia" "This is forcibly a Russian/Chinese designed ship" "Their air defenses and missiles are from DPRK and aid from China"

Dezful arguably has some similarities but overall they are more derived from families of US missile systems

I was just about to request for someone to please provide a decent summary of Iranian air defence capabilities, as there seems to be a bewildering array of system. Could you please also summarise the many different systems (e.g. transporters, launchers, and radars) these missiles are used from?

Lol I've been following this stuff for years and I can't even keep up with all the systems and the names.

As of now this is certain that Iran is getting their air defenses to Baluchistan province and be on high alert here

As i personally doubt of a disproportionate military response from Pakistan but doing the same in Iran baluchistan then it's tit for tat, launch of precision guided bombs from Pakistan to unpopulated area is the main thing to be prepared of (AD08 is meant for this i think)

Or Iran will just take the response to avoid further deterioration of ties with Pakistan

I doubt Iran move any air Defence there.
There are more important areas and our air Defence still is stretched and I believe Iran won't consider engaging Pakistan airforce beneficial if they want to hit some armed thugs in a remote area in sistan and balochistan.
As I previously said they are headache on both side and Iran and Pakistan engaging each other is only beneficial to the headache and worsen it.
I believe even if such thing happen no main stream media report it and only you hear it in some obscure tweeter account

Why should houthis invite their enemies (china and russia) to Yemen?

We won't go either. We will not get involved in anything that has nothing to do with China's national interests. We have no interest in the Houthis. There is no need to fall out with the West because of them. We have huge business interests in Europe and the United States.
