If Iran had AWACS aircraft, it could ensure that air defenses were active only when needed and remained hidden until then.

I didn't say they received the Tot M2 but that they built an equivalent form in Iranian sauce. There is a difference in the radar between the first Dezful and the new arrivals

The Herz-9, Ya Zahra system seems to have disappeared recently, it was not even visible in videos of exercises. Moreover, the Chinese ships had six launchers, which also appeared in the demonstration video in Iran, but were not used anywhere.

they are very old systems and likely (hopefully) replaced by newer Iranian systems like Majid Tondar Qaem-118 9 Dey etc

That small missile looks like it could be used in an A2A role as well.

IMO Pirooz it is a Delavieh (Kornet based) anti tank missile. It woudn't be an anti serial system. As Comandante well said, Ya Zahra would be based in a french origin system called "Crotale". This system is short ranged and guidande would be RC, very easy to jam nowadays. Maybe because of this Ya Zahra and Rapier are now being discarded as anti serial system. Would be useful still for drones and cruise missiles like Tomahawk, but not for modern US aircrafts.

Look at the photos, the Pirooz's firing angle, so can you prove to us that flying battle tanks exist? I've never seen one in my life!!

I don't think that Iran has the luxury of decomissioning air defence assets even if they are obselete ones. Rapier is even older and it's still in use.
