Iranian Air Force (IRIAF/IRGC-ASF) | News and Discussions

I have no idea why users still think that Iran will ever get Pakistan like treatment in its military cooperation with China.

Pakistan is a part of the world order. Pakistan does not try to challenge Israel or the Jewish led Western order (a big no no in international diplomatic relations). Pakistan is aligned with the Sunni Saudi led Middle East. And lastly Pakistan represents a counterweight to India for China.

All these means it’s very simple for China to arm Pakistan without causing headaches for itself or facing loss of trade with other allies or get sanctioned by U.S.

Iran is radioactive on the world stage at this point. Too much baggage and problems for any country to want to strategically deal with them.

China does not much care about what "world" thinks anymore. It is a superpower in its own right now.

Problem is that Iran simply wants it both ways - China will support it more if it did not try to deal with west even after being bombed and having its leaders killed multiple times.

Without entering a formal alliance with China, then Chinese support will be more covert than overt.

China relies on exports. Being a superpower doesn’t mean you piss off the West and Arabs for bread crumbs from Iran.Go look up how much trade and military contracts China has with the Arabs.

China (Xi) will simply not rock the boat and open himself up to be pressured by the West for a country like Iran that doesn’t hold a lot of strategic value for China.

Anyway don’t want to get off topic on this matter in this thread.

The fundamental rule of trade is this:

The party with greater flexibility—whether buyer or seller—holds the bargaining power.
This is the reality of the world.

For example:
Consider Iranian oil. Iran is the seller.
If Iran has access to a vast number of buyers worldwide—with China being just one of many—then Iran wields significant bargaining power.
Conversely, if there are very few buyers for Iranian oil, while China has access to a wide range of alternative sellers, then Iran’s bargaining power is very low.
The same logic applies entirely to other products as well.

It’s just business.

Political deals, arms trade, commerce in civilian goods—the entire world operates according to this principle.

What does Iran seek to gain from China? What does China seek to gain from Iran? And what is the nature of the value exchange between them?

Once these questions are clarified, the complexities inherent in any state-to-state relationship effectively disappear.

But,

In reality, many people—due to a misjudgment of information—erroneously overstate certain factors related to themselves, which ultimately leads to the failure of their business. Yet, in the end, rather than reflecting on their own flawed judgment, they attribute the entire failure to their business partners.

Iran claims to have begun the process of acquiring 5th Gen fighter jets and AWACS

Just because some fanboy posts his wild fantasies on Twitter doesn’t mean it has anything to do with reality – and, above all, with any real chance of it ever happening … so why post such nonsense here?

And this, too, is simply propaganda… Iran hasn’t managed to get anything significant off the ground in the fighter aircraft sector over the last few decades, and it certainly won’t manage to do so now in the form of a heavy, twin-engine fighter especially under the current war-situation!

There is no doubt during peacetime, with the help of China, Iran can build fighters similar to what Pakistan has done . Why come out with a blowhard BS statement During your first public presser ? 🤦🏻 maybe someone should pick up the phone then remind the defense minister that this is 2026 and the Internet is forever.

IRIAF will NEVER get new fighters as long as Deino is around to do something about it!

Without wishing to offend you or Iran, there are undoubtedly very different, more sinister forces at work preventing you from succeeding … I’m just here to expose the deception and propaganda, because nothing real will ever come of mere boasting!
