F-14 is 4th generation, but they obviously didn't make it, and even though they've had it for the past 40+ years, they haven't been able to reverse engineer it to build a replica or another comparable fighter nor manufacture adequate spare parts for it in all this time, that speaks volumes of their engineering and industrial capabilities.

What a waste, just imagine what China would have been able to do with the F-14 if it had it 40+ years ago.

Imagine how restricted Chinas growth would have been if it had faced the same sanctions as Iran since 1979

I don't undermine Chinese platforms, they have greatly improved Chinese airforce with domestic planes which worth more than a thousand of best but foreign made planes.

About the point that Chinese platforms are not battle tested, its true. We have not seen any of Chinese jets beat F-16 or F-18 etc in aerial combat. However It depends on generation of jets and their functionality.

Iranian general btw, is a guest and his commemorative picture doesn't prove anything.

Our airforce has long lost its priority but at the moment, IRIAF is trying to renew and Update its current inventory with heavy upgrades and possible new purchases.

Apparently Russian production lines are pre occupied by domestic consumers. Counting on Russian manufacturers while Russia at war, would be a grave mistake.

Chinese J-10 is a good platform but doesn't meet our needs. Our enemy is not a backward airforce, its USAF. Therefore buying J-10 will throw us into a big financial trap unless Chinese officials agree to ToT or assmebly line inside Iran. Otherwise, without having the capability of assembling jets at critical times, its going to be a waste to just buy them.

Iran has proven some of its weapons worldwide, modern Chinese weapon barely, but "old" Chinese weapons proved to be effective, nearly sinking an Israeli corvette, damaging and sinking tankers, also most of their small arms are proven effective and reliable and worth to reverse engineer

Time will tell if their big modern weapons are effective, i still trust more in them than some western weapons

Irans TP-1 and TP-2 have exposed a lot of players as swimming nekkid. It’s been a windfall for Iran these two operations.

If I was a defense attache or minister, I’d be wary of buying anything from the traditional arms trade houses now that the facts are laid bare.

The US and Israeli arms industries are by far the most negatively impacted on reputation damage.

and last time I checked Iranian missiles were used to bomb pakistan so by your theory pakistan should stop wasting IMF money on buying every kind of chinese missile and start buying Iranian ones because they are battle-tested just like J-10.
