Do you think the US would have killed Soleimani if Trump was not President?
in last weeks of Trump's administration the IRI was very cautious to avoid provoking Trump, I remember it well and I am sure others do too
edit:Is that the same last week where Pompeo and his general were basically denying him the option to do that? I don't recall Iran being cautious or acting differently during that time compared to other times.
I know no such thing. Neither does anyone else. Don't make stuff up.You know very well they informed the US exactly when and where they would attack, and made sure without any doubt there would be no US casualties.
During TP1-2, Biden pressured Netanyahu not to escalate. And since Israel has no chance against Iran without full US backing, they had to abide, twice. Trump would have assured Netanyahu that US stands behind Israel no matter how it responds. He might have even threatened to bomb Iran before TP2 and it would have never happened
edit:
I don’t remember any similar petition by high usa military officers like that one against attacking Iran...unprecedented in such way but this is not risiko game for pentagon...
This is propaganda. I won't put weight on these things. You and I never have access to this type of info that is demonstrably correct.![]()

Yes, chairman of joint stuff in open public war with own president...rejection from the highest level of usa military...and there were many other on side of the chairman, I mean among officers...that is very strong indication of how pentagon perceives such possibility...![]()

Many things were out of protocol in that last period of Trump's first mandate, he was left isolated even from own vice president...Tis is propaganda. I won't put weight on these things. You and I never have access to this type of info that is demonstrably correct.

If they attacked Iran after such public confrontation between political and military leaders, then it would be from present perspective consider as propaganda...with goal of good bad cop confusing Iran before war...I can only go by what they're saying, and I do take it more favourably seeing as US is a macho nation that doesn't want to look weak, especially when it's a military guy saying it. I don't see how this serves as propaganda.
In fact, Russia can also provide diplomatic support. That's why I think the Iran-Russia strategic agreement is essential, it would be a kind of extra life insurance. There are several reasons why the Russians took this commitment seriously. For Iran, things are about to get worse and a lot of tough decisions will need to be made. They need to hope that China doesn’t cut oil imports from Iran (Maximum pressure 2.0). Does Xi realize the strategic nature of Iran-China-Russia against the Western drive for a new world order? Russia cannot do much to shield Iran from sanctions since it competes with Iran in the energy market, but it can provide strategic military weapons to Iran.
