In light of Israel's attack on Syria, Iran should reach out to the Syrian government and do a friendship treaty and military defense pact with them. Destroying Israel is going to take the full and long term effort of both Sunnis and Shias and only one cannot do it as we have seen in the last war of Israel with the Axis of Resistance and Iran. If the new front is opened in Golan Heights and in the areas captured by Israel, then fighters from all over the Muslim World would go to Syria to fight. Additionally, the Central Asian and Caucasian fighters should also be invited to join the fight.

Most Syrians don't like Iran because of their support to Assad who was quite brutal in suppressing them. Even if they did decide to put their differences aside, it wouldn't make much of a difference since Iran can't really protect itself properly right now from airstrikes really. Without air defence you're helpless.

There's a difference between your primary goal being to survive vs launching offensives into enemy territory with the goal of capturing land.

I will not be surprised if they offer themselves to Iran as an alternative for Assad for a functional corridor from Tehran to Beirut, and an opportunity for full-scale revival of Hezbollah's old powerhouse status... with unspoken support from Erdogan...

I agree R2D2. It is unrealistic but if Turkey, Syrians and iranians work together, Israel would be wiped out from the earth's surface. But I know It is wild.
