First it slightly looks like lancet, it’s actually more likely to be a Hero 400 clone since Iran’s drone designs come from captured Israeli or American drones. Not a single documentation of a Iranian drone based on Chinese or Russian designs.

2nd it predates Lancet by years, I heard about it in Syrian civil war. And hellooooooo people 358 Missile? It was lancet before western armies knew what lancet was. And it’s much more capable in an air to air role.

Plenty of Iranian drones just never get mass adopted by Iranian armed forces. And for good reason, why would Iran need a <20KM drone for that cannot even do air to air combat?

Just to be clear since Iranian media botched the translation he said "only 20% of the capacities of ONE of the pertinent units was used'.

Regardless of how nice that is, I don't believe he should be making comments like this at all. The action is sufficient messaging in itself and doesn't require much more to say.

I thought he said they only used 20% of the capabilities they had prepared for that attack (versus 20% of Iran's total capabilities as initially reported by Iranian media)

That's also correct but a more important portion was cut off by idiot X posters. If you pay attention to the very beginning, he said only a portion of ONE unit was used ("yek bakhshi az yek neeroo bood"). This particular 'uncut' tweet is correct. He's implying there are MANY units. After that he also throws in the 20% thing for that ONE unit....

Well many of us have been complaining for years that IRI officials suffer from sever messaging deficiency. There is nothing new to these self inflicted wounds.

Note, however, who the audience is. Is it you and I or is it another population. Those in the nonwestern countries? If the latter, then the issue is not as great.

This specific messaging in particular where they are parroting Western propaganda is a new low for these IRI officials and Hajizadeh included. Solemani would not have stood for this. Actually the attack would be completely different if Solemani was the mastermind rather than Hajizadeh, but alas that’s off topic to the point.

The fact that after the largest military operation by Iran against a western country since Operation Pray Mantis, iran has yet to disclose in professional military terms:

• The weapons it used
• The targets it went after
• The quantity of each weapon type used (if even an approximate or a ‘more then ___’)

Shows a distributing thing. Wether the messaging is for domestic consumption or western consumption (unlikely since western citizens don’t exactly follow Iranian news) is irrelevant.

They have also been implicit in covering up attacks that have occurred inside Iran either before/after the revenge strike.

Unfortunately we have entered an age of information where no government (or military) can be considered reliable in the information it gives its citizens. Not US, Not Russia, Not Iran, Not China, Not EU. It’s all become one soup of competing propaganda and illusions.
