Iranian Missiles | News and Discussions

interesting , where was the target that the engine fall in Gorgan
I think it was testing a new cluster warhead configuration but failed horribly

remember US leaks about Iran testing cluster munitions on 700km missile with only 2/7 of the warheads hitting their targets

They disperse bomb let when warhead reach destination . By the way do each reentry vehicle in a MIRV warhead had its own engine ?
They usually target Dasht-e-kavir or Kavir-e-lut the missile was off by hundreds of km if they used their usual target.

MRV and MIRV are two different things. And so is cluster (tiny unguided bomblets).

MRV is just separate warheads heading to the same target

MIRV is separate warheads heading to different targets

MIRVs are for nukes and don’t make sense in conventional capacity due to cost.

counterpoint: the missiles used against US troops in the al Asad base in Iraq a few years later showed much better accuracy

That’s an apple to oranges comparison.

A Fatah is a artillery rocket similar to HIMARS and others. Typically they are much lower cost because their guidance systems and shorter range.

You can’t compare the INS/GNS that goes in a Fatah to Iran’s top BMs.

Fatah like the old Zelzal series are more mass saturation attack weapon systems like GRAD.

Fateh-110 to Fateh-313 is not apples to oranges

Fateh-110 is not an artillery rocket, it's a ballistic missile

Need of the hour

- Supersonic CM
- Stealth CM
- ALBMs

Rest is covered, we have modern most HGV+Skip glide MaRVs, Cluster munitioned IR/MRBMs, AShBMs, long-range AShCM/BMs etc. A force that has seen more battle action than any other missile forces.
