Iranian President Raisi and Foreign Minister Abdollahian die in helicopter crash in East Azerbaijan

Mi-171 is more reliable then mi-38 and putin uses them too instead of mi-38

i already pointed out in previous post that usually the president used a Mi-171

Bell 212 was mostly used by local governors (lower officials)

it was a mistake to put the president into that helicopter (heads should roll)

It was a mistake to fly in such weather. The helicopter (212) while not super advanced is still reliable helicopter and is used in Iran every day with no incidence and around the world.

Now if you were a soldier on a training mission or special forces then you take such risk. Just like those 2 US special forces soldiers that died in rough seas and very bad weather when one of them slipped and fell trying to board an arms smuggling vessel.

But for a head of state to get into a 212 and fly over mountain range in low temperature and bad weather is a blunder. Anyone can tell you that’s a mistake. You couldn’t pay me to ever get on a helicopter and fly over a mountain in bad conditions or even across flat terrain. Helicopters should really only be flown in ideal calm conditions for civilians and government officials.

Its over guys

so who you think will replace

Raisi in the next 2-3 weeks ?

most likely candidate for new president according all Iranian media outlets will be Ghalibaf

who now with death of Raisi is the leading politician in the Conservative camp

Does it really matter who is Iran's president? Does he decides on anything at all?

yea bell 212 is one of most reliable helicopters ever made

but in such terrain its always better ot use Mi 171

Mi-171 is an "extreme weather capable helicopter" and built with aerodynamic to withstand even storms.

Bell 212 is only "all weather capable helicopter"

if your flying into area that is known for very bad weather you put him in to a Mi-171 not a Bell 212...

Some aviation experts on Pakistani news channels, saying most likely its not just an accident

And then what? Come back and watch the footage? Look how many passes the Turkish drone had to make before it detected something. It took 2 hours worth of passes and had to drop to 9,000 FT with its $1M Canadian FLIR to get better images.

Unless Iran had moved a mobile ground station to a mountain plateau hard to get signal and datalink reliably On top of a mountain.

Again why you need to invest more seriously in space (satellites). Government needs to wake up.
no transmit the footage when they are in line of sight, if they saw anything in that footage feed it another flight plan to do a closer look

So you are going to lecture an Iranian about his own country now?

Chabahar Port deal not possible without President Raisi and FM Amir-Abdollahian - Indian EAM Jaishankar.

I do not understand what you mean.

If you live in Iran or are Iranian, you should know that the number of Sayyids in Iran is very high.

According to statistics, about 7 million people in Iran are Sayyid.

A lot more people are descended from the Prophet through their mothers, who are not called Sayyid, but they are also descended from the Prophet.
7 / 80 x 100 = 8.75 % >> 0.0875 x 9 crew members/passengers = 0.78 >> 1 person should have been seyed in the helicopter. There is a hidden discrimination/racism against non-seyed Iranians, this issue should be spoken about and people should have posts according to their skills, not because they're seyed (most of them are fake seyeds by the way)

Celebrating over the crash site that killed top echelon of Iranian leadership? A country that you came to provide humanitarian assistance?

It’s very distasteful.
Agreed, Zero issue Turkey celebrating but it should not have been by the same Akinci drone but some other one after mission. This gives in very bad taste after support provided by Turkey.
