Voter turnout is expected to reach close to 50% (similar to 2021 where turnout was 48.5%)

Voter turnout in Tehran increases in second round of vote:

First round: 3.37 m votes (33% turnout)
Second round: 3.8 million votes (38% turnout) - and voting is ongoing

29 million votes as of 10.30pm local time (47% turnout vs 39.9% in first round)

Looks like it will end up around 49-51% turnout. Similar or slightly higher than 2021 election.

Good news for IRI after embarrassing and historic low turnout in the first round

Officially higher turnout than 2021 (48.5%). 50-51% seems likely

Well I'm glad this time is not like the ridicolous first round turn out
And to think some people were defending that.
I myself gave my vote at morning and now I'm on the road but heard still there is long line in some voting centers . The law state that interior minister can extend voting till mid night which is now . Wonder if guardian council or interior ministry can extend itt more in some areas

if they are already in the voting place then it doesn't matter if the deadline passed, they can still vote
