Several months ago everyone thought Iran and Taliban were going to go to war and that was border skirmishes DIRECTLY against each other. What about happened sense? Business as usual and it all blew over. Even after both sides killed each others security forces.

In this case, it is both sides attacking terrorist mud huts and claiming they are HQs. As if these rag tag groups even have headquarters. Come on. Most of them don’t even have sneakers.

In this case Pakistan made a big deal of nothing probably due to elections coming up. These are lawless villages on both sides where tribal authority takes over.

Like I said, middle of nowhere. Mountainous regions. Very easy to get across the border if you know the area.

Unnecessary drama. People act like Iran bombed the middle of Islamabad and Pakistan attacked Tehran.

We are talking about mud and clay villages, with homes the size of most people garages.

Keep repeating that mantra. Doesn't matter how desolate the region or how destitute the population, you crossed the line and got slapped. Do it again and expect some more of the same.
Clearly shows Iranian bite isn't the same as it barks. Trying to deescalate by disowning anyone that was killed, and at the same time thus admitting it is harboring foreigners attacking Pakistan! What a ridiculous action and now coming to their senses

You are a Pakistani living in the US. Open a map and look at the region at the center of this discussion. This is Baluchistan which is a semi autonomous regions covering both sides of the border. Most Iranians never even travel to these regions unless deployed by military.

Very remote. Very improvished on both sides. Much like the Kurdish insurgents that span Turkey, Syria, and Iraq, and Iran they fight for seperatist ideals usually backed by foreign intelligences of US, Israel, India, etc. to cause chaos for both sides.

It is quite common in that region to have undocumented people who hide in either country to avoid the security forces of the other.

It’s the wild Wild West in that area.



Do you expect their families to be living in palace in Dubai? Where else would their families live? These are poor mountain and desolate based insurgents.

Same is true for Pak's Balochistan.
Iran shd hv thought that we can't control all of the area and 1-2 strikes won't help dismentaling jaesh-al-adal but escalate matters with Pak. A very bad loss-loss trade

Now that things have ended, both sides need to deescalate and come to the negotiating table.

Pakistan and Iran can work on apprehending terrorists seeking refuge on both sides of the border (JuA and BLF).

And for the good of both countries, the border needs to be managed and avoid opportunities for smuggling.

Unfortunately, both the countries are in a very undesirable situation. Completely unwanted. Let’s hope we start salvaging from here.

We were in a very precarious position as any inaction would have opened doors for all sorts of future actions from everywhere especially India and the threshold to decide to strike Pakistan would have lowered for everyone.

Mud-huts or not a ballistic missile is not the right approach. It is one of the final stages of escalation like air force strike or naval blockade. I guess that missile thing is even higher.

We debate the same things with Indias. Small-scale militias are controlling 2 large states. Whenever Pak and India are getting closer, a small incident pushes them away from talk and diplomatic relations. It is like that small militia activity is dictating these two countries.

Tragic as it is, losing soldiers is not a big deal as endangering friendly relations with a country. Pak cannot eliminate these groups totally. Who knows these groups got funded by the West even.

Again I am saying it was a loss-loss trade for Iran. Neither jaesh got relinquished nor Pak kept silent. Anyway, if you want to eliminate jaesh you need Islamabad on your side and not both against you.

And do we think Iran didn't know this? Yet they went ahead anyway. Shows their true intentions perhaps. They want a weaker battered Pakistan.
I hope things don't go back the way they were, and we actually start taking a more assertive regional approach

You did not understand my previous comment, You're getting Iranian subsidized fuel for very cheap. Pakistan is indirectly enjoying billions of Iranian subsidies. I don't blame Pakistan but some stupid "velayati economists" for this.

Yes, the cheap fuel is beneficial for local smugglers as it is the only occupation left. It hurts our tax, tariff and exise collection though.

Lastly, the Pak-Iran pipeline was shut bcz of the US sanctions. So we were not liable to pay the damages to Iran. I am trying to say that Iran hasn't favored us one-sidedly, unlike in the Shah's time.
 
why iran and pakistan dont work togather and make one spezialisiert unit from iran and pakistan spezial forces and Intelligenz Officers. that Operate togather to destroy the 2 Terrorist Groups. then no one have Problems. they can chare Intelligenz and everry country know what Action are unter way in the areas and have own people there to overse the Action.

It is called diplomacy with no less than your neighbor. If Iran keeps launching unprovoked strikes in the name of killing some militia, you are making a country your enemy too. Then it is likely that both will act against you.

For the rets of the people. Yes, US had a free run of bombing Pakistan or OBL raid as sometimes our govt was an accomplice too. Nevertheless, the US got paid well in Afghanistan for that.
