IRONY! US Military Needs China’s Help To Beat Chinese PLA In A War; Report Says Ammo Will Exhaust In 28 Days

"The Indian Army has a budget of around Rs 20,000 crore to acquire ammunition for the existing inventory of weapon systems in the force. Till a few years ago, the force was spending around 35-40 per cent on buying ammunition from abroad."
Now, that requirement has been cut down to less than 10 per cent, and we are looking to reduce it further in the next couple of years," defence officials told ANI.

India is still importing bullets. Do not pretend that India is related to any military production. thank you.
Seriously, you need to get your facts straight. The article clearly states that less than 10% of our ammunition is imported, and even that’s set to be completely phased out by the next fiscal year. With over 175-180 different types of ammunition required by our army, our exports are driving up production capacity for both ammo and explosives. We’re scaling up big time.

What? You still need to import ammunition? Are you currently in a war like Russia? I know you India needs to import rifles, but didn't know you even need to import bullets.

I just found out that India is the 2nd biggest supplier of unwrought antimony metal and powder to the US. This metal is really important for making artillery shells and other ammo. They’re used to harden lead, which is a key material in bullets and artillery shells. So, India's role as a supplier is quite crucial for the production of ammunition. Antimony oxide is primarily used as a flame retardant in textiles, plastics, and other materials, rather than in the production of ammunition. Its use is generally unrelated to the needs of manufacturing artillery shells, which require materials that contribute to strength, durability, and reliability under explosive conditions.

Our ammunition quality proves that further... no wonder sudden high demand for Indian made artillery shells by Isreal, Saudi Arabia, Ukraine and Russia....

Guess what? Last year, Ordnance Factory Nalanda in Bihar shipped out its first batch of Bi-Modular Charge Systems in July 2023. 🚀

These BMCS are a big deal for artillery—basically, they let us tweak the range and impact of shells, making our artillery way more precise.

While you’re busy talking about antimony, let me tell you about something impressive from India. India’s Solar Industries, through its subsidiary Economic Explosives Limited, has developed an explosive called SEBEX 2. Certified by the Indian Navy, SEBEX 2 is a high-performance, non-nuclear explosive that’s twice as lethal as TNT, with a TNT equivalence of 2.01. It's one of the most powerful non-nuclear explosives in the world! And they're not stopping there—EEL is already working on a new variant of SEBEX that will be 2.3 times more powerful than TNT, expected to be ready in just six months. This just shows how India's innovation and defense capabilities are rising rapidly, thanks to initiatives like Make in India. So, while you’re jumping for joy about antimony, India’s pushing the envelope with cutting-edge tech like SEBEX 2!

While mounting SEBEX 2 on BrahMos would certainly pack a punch, it's important to remember that BrahMos and Pralay are tactical missiles designed for targeting high-value enemy infrastructure. The real game-changer would be integrating SEBEX 2 explosives with our artillery ammunition and the PGMs used by the IAF. This combination could revolutionize battlefield dynamics, especially with our 4,000+ artillery tubes. Essentially, the task performed by 400+ artillery pieces using TNT could be achieved with just 200 artillery tubes when equipped with SEBEX 2. They could sustain a high rate of fire against enemy bunkers and reinforced structures, making a significant impact. Additionally, SEBEX 2 would be a powerful asset for MLRS. Their ability to deliver powerful, widespread explosive effects could neutralize enemy formations and suppress large areas.

I guess I need to introduce you to this fine thing called DPA or defence production act.

Not to mention the present ongoing conflicts have forced the governments to consider investing in supply chains. Heck, right now even countries like India are seeing massive increase in sales of their ammo due to present consumption and stockpiling of ammunitions.

On war footing, USA can produce MASSIVE MASSIVE amounts of everything imaginable.

@jhungary Correct me if I am wrong.
Was your id Count Dracula in Original PDF?

Please understand. The Indian military was forced to use "Made in India" bullets. Modi forced the Indian military to reduce the import of bullets. This does not mean that the Indian military wants to use 'Indian made bullets'

in fact. The Indian military prefers Chinese made bullets and weapon parts.

Keep laughing. India imported $7.8 million worth of Chinese bullets and weapon parts in 2023. 😂😂😂
