JF-17 - Updates, News & Discussion

The green JF-17 still exists. It was the very 1st JF-17 in PAF service. I don't know what they will do with the RIAT color schemes. The C-130s from previous RIAT shows still retain their paint jobs.
It appears the standard grey camouflage scheme is not absolutely necessary, since we are not fighting up close daytime guns only dogfights

RUMOR: Another buyer in advance stages of negotiations to acquire JFT block III from Pakistan.
The tattoo color scheme from the top or showing full aircraft, looks killer!

Uzbekistan

With the Russians busy and unable to provide anything, it's the perfect chance to go into the central Asian market

Really need to get the Uzbeks on side.

With the signing of the trans Pak-Afghan-Uzbek train route connecting Gwadar and Karachi to Central Asia, a Pak friendly Uzbeckistan can do wonders for our trade. Helping them out with JF-17 is a no brainer.

Russia will be producing jets and weapons for only itself for next 5-7 years. Pakistan needs to aggressively market to the Central Russian states and bring in 3-4 or more of them on our side.

The JF-17's offer 100% more capability than their old and outdated Mig-29 and SU-30's with only 30-40% of the maintenance.

Yeah, with Azeris it was easier as there is a bond and we are both big turkish allies, Uzbeks will be harder as there is some tension still left over from Afghan civil war and IS/Talibs v NA, but nothing we should not be able to overcome

You bring up really valid points. But the thing is, its a win win for these states and for Pakistan. If they see benefit, cost and capability, there is no match vs. that Russian junk they've been operating with 20 KM weapon range! But sales effort is always hard work.
