Joint Defense Agreement: Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan, news & updates

Yeah Egyptians got to look out for Egyptians first and foremost. Egypt over the last decade has already received a lot of financial support from the GCC especially Saudi. Its not like Egypt will get more by joining this pact. Im not sure about the position of the president of Egypt and how legitimate he is according to his own people and how long he will stay in power so he probably has more things to worry about than going to war.

Nevertheless like NATO, countries can join further down the line like any alliance and if i had to put my money down, Id say Egypt and Jordan do join sometime down the line.

Jordan - I don't see that happening. They are too busy defending Israel, to ever act against Israel. Jordan, has always been rather untrusty worthy in Arab affairs, look into the history of how many times they have betrayed Egypt/Syria in wars against Israel.

Super powers don't think with emotions...they plan for decades ahead of time.

Maybe in the past. The global pandemic of Short Attention Span has changed not just the ordinary people: Also changed the leadership, which really boils down to half a dozen people in some inner cabinet making decision. And even there, often just one man with a few Yes Men around. Look at how Trump shredded the JCPOA in no time which the Obama admin took years of hard work to formulate and implement.

I don't know why people don't understand policy of active hostility towards Israel is not what Egypt could afford do hey want Egypt to go towards the direction of Libia, or Syria or Iraq ???
Some people may have difference of opinion but they need to understand one thing as said by former President of Egypt "Egypt could fight war with Israel but not with America" this is the sad truth for every Muslim country including Iran.

It is a tendency in several forum members to call nations' leaders as 'stooges' or 'puppets'. Most of that is driven by such members' dislike of the current ruling setup, thus driven by their respective countries' domestic politics. Such keyboard warriors are to be seen here from multiple nations. And these warriors are, of course not, responsible for the lives and the well being of the millions unlike the 'stooge' leaders.

Obama was a hypocrite pro Shia sob ...jcpoa was not a good deal from a non Iranian point of view , it needed to be shredded... about a million Syrians were killed under his watch and many millions displaced.... Trump doesn't make decisions , he follows the instructions of the deep state.... forget ummah chumma , Arab and Persian hostilities predate Islam and Christianity , it latter morphed into Shia Sunni one ....cry me a river at the imminent demise of the Iranian regime.

We should distinguish between "diplomatic etiquette" and "true attitude." If the "true attitude" of China and the United States is genuine support for this agreement, then this is not good news for all three countries.
Why is this not a good news for the three countries ? ....Ai may give you a better response.

It was to kill Pakistan Democracy Act https://www.congress.gov/bill/119th-congress/house-bill/2311/text/ihp

which called for sanctions on Munir by name. In return, Munir agreed to nominate Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize, hand over Roosevelt hotel , invest in Liberty Financial and generally carry out Trump's bidding in furtherance of his political and personal interests.
Roosevelt hotel was turned into a homeless shelter , what's wrong in trying to find a way to renovate it or sell it if possible ? .... what's wrong in cooperating with USA if your interests coincide ?

The only glitch in the matrix is however US will face immediate existential threat... not necessarily from Iran... but every adversary will assume the worst. Russia, that has already changed its nuclear doctrine will implement it's first use perhaps for the first time. North Korea that now has both nukes and delivery systems will use it's first ballistic salvo with nuclear tipped missiles fearing existential crisis... who's response will cascade a chain reaction that will prompt China to do what it has been preparing for for past two decades... where they have built underground silos for just this scenario.
That still leaves Iran who may or may not have a nuke right now... at this point everything is speculation at best and best case possibility. US will therefore usher in the very end of the world that previous postures aimed to forestall. Orange clown is being a sore loser and just like a teenage delinquent putting a tantrum that any adult in the room should slap out of him!
Sorry, but nuking Iran will not create World War III, as the IRGC fanatics wishing, hoping and praying for it seem to believe.

What is likely to happen is that Iran will die, and the world will simply carry on as it has for thousands of years.

Hypothetically, now imagine Pakistan dropping 20 nukes on 20 Iranian cities. Is that going to trigger World War III? Is Russia, India or Israel going to attack Pakistan with nuclear weapons?

Even US nuclear doctrine does not automatically call for retaliation with nuclear weapons following a nuclear attack on the US. The US can choose to retaliate however it sees fit.

That's more of an indictment of the state of democracy in Amerika than status quo for struggling asian democracies.

That bill in question has been proposed by disgruntled financiers of the ousted government who played the American system. It may have targeted specific persons or entity but its intent was to harm Pakistan. The initiative was countered by a method that can only be described as indigenous.

This dragon avatar certainly is very greedy and outrageous but it should not come at the cost of common sense.

The implications of killing not just the head of a state, a revolutionary movement, and a papal-sque diety has not yet made its way to your thought process.

Even Iran cannot bell that cat. It was a devilish act to kill that man.

These hippos must be the fattest “elite” Iranian pilots in service.

The issue isn’t whether Iran gets or doesn’t get nuked but that usage of them sets a precedent which immediately pushes the deterrent value that Russia and China rely on out the door.
