Karachi’s infrastructure is killing us, literally

When I visit Karachi, then Mumbai and Cairo, I wonder what the 30 million people of Karachi have done wrong to receive this level of treatment. Why can't Karachi be like Cairo or Mumbai? Why can't Karachi be like Dhaka or Colombo?
Only one answer comes to my mind, PPP and its cronies. There is no other explanation. They are corrupt, they are incompetent, there is no one to ask about their step behavior rendered to wards karachi. end of the day - 10% of pakistan population suffers in the neame of nothing that can stand the suffereing. Pakistan economoy suffers and no one cares.

Couldn't find a tad better role model cities? Karachi with all of it's nonsense is still better than Dhaka and Mumbai.

READ MY LIPS IT IS NOT NONSENSE ..........

It depends on what you compare. I am comparing the city's management, law and order, and civic facilities. If things in Karachi were managed better, the city could generate more revenue, leading to better business, higher tax collection, and a better Pakistan. I visited Khi 36 months ago, then 16 months ago and then again just recently. It has gone from bad to worse. Even the so-called motorway is nothing more than a major road. Everything is built to a subpar standard. In the name of development, roads are broken [dug out] and unfit for usage. When will this end? If it is not going to end, then the people and businessmen of Karachi are right to export their hard-earned money out of the country for security and a better life. How many generations need to wait for this to end?

Under EZ model, “Karachi Decompression" Master Plan can solve overpopulation and the lack of "breathable space” by implementing three simultaneous shifts: Verticalization, Satellite Migration, and Green Demolition.

My father used to say,
"There are cities with good planning and there are cities with bad planning.
Karachi - has no planning!"
